F I R S T C H A P T E R : a n o t h e r  d a y

I looked down at my shoes,

I decided to take a walk instead of riding my car,

I looked around admiring the few people passing by and greeting them politely

It's lunch right now

I am just walking around town and going to my favorite café

I entered the café with a ring from the bell signaling that I entered that immediately alerted Ms. Colette

She was a 50 years old woman that looked like she hadn't aged since 20.

Colette had dark blonde hair that had a few specs of gray in it

and striking gray eyes that shine were ever she looked

Sadly her husband passed away from cancer,

so she built this café in commemoration of her husband

When she saw me enter she came to me and hugged me,

I hugged her back feeling the warmth and love from the hug

She pulled away and kissed my cheek

" Deary you don't visit me anymore," she said to me in a scolding mother voice as I call it

I cheekily smiled at her, she chuckled at me

" would you like your regular?" I nodded at her and sat down at my usual table

A few minutes later she came back with a tray of two bagels and a cup of black coffee

she placed them down and sat at the other end of the table

We chatted for a while before she went back to the counter to get the orders of the other people inside.

After finishing my food, I paid for it and made sure to leave a tip

I kissed Colette's cheek and said goodbye to her and went back to school

I went inside my car and drove back to my home

Yes I live alone, my stepfather is a druggy and a drunk, he doesn't abuse me but he does hit me when I go back from his house

I arrived at my house and saw Quin and Eli sleeping in their beds and Acer eating the leftover dog food

I pat Acer's head and went upstairs to change

After changing and showering out of my school clothes

I went to my kitchen and made myself a sandwich

I grabbed a book and went to my backyard

I sat down on my comfortable chair and read my book

After reading I went back inside and cooked myself lasagna and ate it quickly

After eating I washed the dishes

Did my routine and changed into my pajamas

I binged watched grey's anatomy for awhile

Before crawling under my duvet and falling asleep.
