"Oh shit Lydia I'm so nervous I just can't believe this is real and that I have a daughter this is crazy!" Jerry said squeezing her hand as they sat waiting by the airport gate where Maria was supposed to meet them
"Haha don't be nervous. But I know it's crazy!" Lydia said excited for him.
"Ya I just hope she doesn't get shocked by my appearance " The crab said as they saw the plane fly in and land
"Babe, you gotta calm down. Everything will be okay she's a teenage girl." Lydia added.
"Teenage girls are the most critical people sometimes" Jerry said
"Oh don't stress honey" Lydia said stroking his claws and kissing his cheek.
Pretty soon a tall teenage brunette girl with a small baby bump emerged from the gate looking around. It was their girl.
"Are you Jerry?" She asked
"Yeah Maria?" Jerry asked Smiling at her
"Yep that's me! So um... I guess I'm your daughter." Maria shrugged.
"Oh wow you're beautiful Aww my god can I hug you?" Jerry asked
"Yeah!" Maria said now crying and just not caring about the fact he had crab arms "I'm so glad to see you!"
Lydia then beginning to also cry "awe this is so cute. I can't..." said said wiping her tears.
"Awe sweetie. This is Lydia my Fiancé." Jerry told maria
"Hi oh my gosh it's so nice to finally meet you" Lydia said impulsively hugging the shit of Maria
"Awe omg you as well!" Maria said just taking it all in
"Wow.. you're beautiful..you look like your dad" Lydia complimented
"Awe haha do I really?" Maria said excited to have something in common with him.
"Yeah you have the same eyes and smile!" Lydia added.
"Thank god I don't wanna resemble the womb who grew me" Maria said laughing and sighing
"Here I'll get your bags hun" Jerry said
"Thanks dad." Maria said.
He paused for a minute to look over to Lydia in shock and excitement.
"Did she just say dad?!" Jerry whispered to Lydia.
Lydia smiled and nodded as Maria went to the conveyer belt to get the rest of her stuff "She clearly loves you and doesn't phase her that you have crab arms"
"I feel like she's still going to wonder though and that's a story my daughter might not want to hear." Jerry added.
"Just leave out the part where it pinched your dick unless your ex already told her" Lydia said before Maria came back
They made their way back home and Lydia was happy to help Maria settle in and unpack before dinner.
"So when's the baby due?" Lydia asked
"I'm 7 months through" Maria said "it really wasn't my first Uh option my mother tried to force me into an abortion when that's not what I wanted so ya here I am.." her voice broke
"Oh Maria" Lydia said shaking her head as she went to sit down beside her on the bed. As Maria went to dry her eyes her long sweater sleeve slipped down to reveal scars on her wrists making Lydia gasp as she took hold of Maria's hand to take a closer look. "Honey did you.."
"DON'T TELL MY DAD!" She yelled.
"How recent?.." Lydia asked just stroking her arm gently
"Like a couple days ago the night I called him.." Maria said tears starting to fall
