***A/N*** Hey everyone! How are you all? My little part of the world is in the middle of a heatwave (or at least I hope it's a heatwave and it's not going to be like this all summer) I might not be around this weekend, my birthday is on Tuesday and I think my mum has something planned for the weekend but I'm not totally sure. I'll do my best to update once a day though! That's about it, and I'll see you all soon xx

-------------------

Living with Draco was supposed to be a lot more fun than it is.

He hasn't found himself a job, he refuses to leave the flat because he doesn't understand how the elevator works and he doesn't want to look like an idiot, and he's got his friends around at all hours of the day.

I get it, if I could, I would be doing the exact same thing. But I can't and it only reminds me how bloody sad I am every time I see Draco with Pansy, Blaise, and Theo sitting around our dining table or throwing popcorn at the telly.

"Hey," Draco says looking at me from the sofa.

I close the front door behind me. It's nearly three in the morning, I just got off my shift.

"Hey," I say back to him.

"They're all staying the night," he looks around the room. Pansy and Blaise are asleep together on a chair in the corner and Theo is curled up on the sofa beside Draco.

I nod and hang my coat up, kicking off my shoes, "How long have they been here?" I ask him as I go into the kitchen.

"Since you left for your shift, I don't like being alone," he calls back.

I open the fridge and look for the Tupperware that I marked for myself... it's not in here, "Well you're not alone. Fergus is around... did you eat that bit of shepherds pie I had in the fridge?"

Draco comes around the corner and meets me in the kitchen so we don't have to shout at each other, "I love your cat, but he's not a great conversationalist," he says hopping up onto the counters.

I did that once, when I was a young girl. I felt bad for Dobby, slaving away in the kitchen as he made dinner so I sat up on the counter to try and keep him company. When Uncle found me, I was screamed at for hours and wasn't allowed any sweets for three months. I wonder if he made it out... Dobby. If he survived the war. I hope he did, he was the one genuinely good thing I remember from my childhood before I went off to school.

"My shepherd's pie?" I ask Draco.

He shakes his head, "Uh I think Blaise ate it when he got here. His Mum hasn't been at home as per usual and he's useless on his own."

"Suppose she has another husband on the rafters?" I ask him as I start to fix myself some toast.

"Word on the street is that it's Professor Slughorn," Draco says with a wicked smile on his face, "But you didn't hear it from me."

"Who would I tell something like that to Dray? You're the only one from the wizarding world that I speak to."

Pansy comes into the kitchen and yawns. She's in one of Draco's shirts and no trousers for some reason, "Sorry Violet," she says to me as she reaches up and opens one of the cupboards, "I know you hate us being here." She grabs a cup and fills it with tap water before padding her way back into the living room.

Draco looks at me, "Don't." he says.

"Don't what?" I say to him, "Tell her that she's right? That I really do hate it when they stay the night?"
