I nodded my head slowly and played with my hands.
"I could only make it better right?"
"Exactly." King said.
✨✨✨
We got word from Lyric that his car was last seen pulling up to one of the safe houses so that's where we are headed. I hoped he was still there.
When we got the the safe house, I seen his car parked on the side. Good shit. I got out of the car and made my way towards the front door.
"Akashaa." King said from behind me.
Slowly turning around, I cocked my head to the side. Man what ?
"Yes?" I asked.
"This could be a set up." He said , looking around.
"She said he was here."
"Yes his car was last seen here. It still is but they could've found him here, killed him and left his car here."
Killed him?
"Oh. So you think he's dead?" I asked.
"No that's not what I mean. I'm just saying."
I was already pissed and I didn't need this shit.
"King shut the fuck up talking to me."
Ryan and the guys had made their way over to the door while me and King were exchanging words. Trey unlocked the door and stepped inside. You could hear music playing and people talking.
I looked over at King and shook my head. Jah had a office on the third floor here and I hoped that's where I would find his ass. I didn't feel like exploring this house looking for him.
It felt like it was taking me forever to walk up these stairs. Like I wasn't moving fast enough. When I got to the top of the steps I stopped. What if he wasn't in there? Why would he leave his car here and not be here? Where the hell else could he be?
Opening the door , the room was empty. He was here though cause there was an open Henny bottle on his desk and also some pain medication. Okay, so if he's not here, where else did he go?
I sat down and placed my head on the desk. I just wanted the day to be over with already. I was annoyed, tired, pissed. Shit I was exhausted.
I heard a door open and close so I picked my head up. There Jah was standing there just staring at me. I couldn't read him and that frustrated me.
"What you doing here?" He asked me.
"Looking for you."
He scrunched up his face. "What for?"
"You do know that niggas is looking for you right? Trying to kill you." I said to him.
"Nothing new."
"Why are you acting so nonchalant? Nigga came to my crib destroying shit looking for you. Thank god Yani wasn't there but they want you dead."
"Yani...."
"She's with her grandparents thank god."
He nodded his head. "Besides that, nothing new. Niggas wanna kill me all the time."
I scratched my head and just looked at him.
"What did you do for niggas to wanna kill you so bad?" I asked.
"The situation is handled."
"Handled? Handled how? Why didn't you tell nobody that you were leaving the hospital? On top of that, you're not even answering your phone."
"Chill out and I don't need to tell nobody shit. I said it was handled."
"You're mad at me, I get that but this shit is not cool."
He shrugged. "Whatever you say Akashaa"
One minute there is loud music playing and laughter. The next minute there is gunshots and screams.
What. The. Fuck.
