Maia came home from school threw her bag on the floor and lied in bed. She sat there starring at the ceiling while she could hear her parents arguing. They were getting pretty loud and it started to scare Maia then suddenly she heard a thundering crash. She ran out of her room and down stairs, her dad mam had thrown a vase at her dad. Maia went as pale as a ghost while she just stared at this mess, she knew she would be the one cleaning it up.
Maia quickly ran over to Luke's house and told Mrs.Carter how unsafe she felt and all she wanted was a distraction from the problems at home. Mrs. Carter reassured her and suggested that she could get some school work done especially since she's starting to fall behind the rest of the class. Maia studied for a good 2 hours before realizing its late and she should go home. Luke offered her to stay with her but she knew that would get her into more trouble so she had to decline. Maia lied in bed wondering if one day things will get better cause apparently the teenaged years are supposed to be the greatest but certainly not for her
