"Good morning, Yugi," someone said while I walked into 'the office'.

I turned around and saw the face of one of my colleagues.

"Good morning, Eric" I said.

"So Wheeler didn't want to show up, huh?" he said.

"He had to go to his girlfriends birthday, which I can understand," I said.

"Well, then it's you and me today. He must be very pleased to have a friend like you."

I shrugged. "That's what friends do, isn't it?"

"I guess," Eric said.

He looked at the ground and then looked back at me with an innocent look on his face. "A-Are you nervous too?" he said.

"Nervous? For what?"

"The flight," he said and looked back at the floor.

"Why should I be nervous? I've done this like a million times before," I said.

"Yes, but, I mean, we don't get this honor every day, you know?"

"Honor?"

"Didn't Wheeler tell you?" he said.

"Told me what?" I said.

"About the secret operation?"

"N-No...?" I said a bit worried.

He sighed and bent over to me to whisper something in my ear. "Well, the navy asked us if we could fly some marines to, you know, our destination, so that they wouldn't stand out so much. And I'm sorry for whispering, but the walls have ears." Then he pulled his head back.

"Why would they do that? Why don't they use their own planes?"

"I don't know. But I'm so exited to get such an honor... It doesn't matter for me."

I sighed. "Well, let's get that plane ready then."

He nodded and we walked over to the plane. He was right. It indeed was an honor. But why didn't Joey tell me?

"Good morning," a man said that joined us in walking towards the plane.

"Good morning, Craig," I said to the third and last pilot I was flying with today.

"It's going to be a long trip today... So who volunteers to start today?" he said.

"It's no problem for me to start," I said.

"For me neither," Eric said.

"Good, then I can take my rest that was stolen from me this morning," he said.

"You do that," Eric snickered.

We arrived at the plane and Eric and I settled us in the cockpit, while Craig left for the room where the third pilot stayed when the other two were flying.

"We're going to do something for our country," he nodded.

I laughed. "We're being useful for once."

He laughed too and we sat down on our seats. Eric started to push some buttons, just like Joey did yesterday. He told me everything he was doing.

"We have radio connection with the airport now," he said while switching a switch.

I put on my headset. "Here is G-357, Domino, do you hear me, over."

"Yes, we hear you, Muto. The passengers will arrive within minutes. Be sure you will be ready then. The Navy is counting on you, over."

"Understood. We'll be ready, over."

Eric had put on his headset on also, and was listening too.

"Alright, Yugi. Are you ready?" he said.

"Yes, and you?" I said.

He nodded. Then he looked out of the window that was in the door of the cockpit. "I think our passengers are here."

I turned around and saw how the plane was being filled with people.

"Where are the marines?" I asked Eric.

"I think they are dressed like normal people. Probably hid their equipment in their suitcases. Normal people are on this flight too, you know. It's a good disguise."

"Sounds plausible," I said.

When the last passenger entered the plane, we checked every button and meters again. Then I pushed a button and spoke into a microphone.

"Hello, this is your captain speaking. Please fasten your seatbelts, we're ready for take off." Then we started the engines of the plane and drove to the airstrip.

"Everything okay there?" I asked.

"Everything seems fine here," he said.

"Okay then. Here we go," I said as I pulled the steer towards me. Then we started to leave the ground. It didn't take long or we could see the tops of the clouds.

"Well done," Eric said.

"Not a big deal," I smiled.

I steered the plane for a lot more hours, until it was approximately 7 PM. Then, Eric, who had had his break already at 2 PM, came in.

"It's your turn to rest, Yugi."

"Okay, thanks," I said and handed him my headset.

I stood up and walked out of the cockpit, towards the back of the plane. My eyes searched for any signs of marines, but I couldn't find any. Well, that will say, not the ones in their uniform. I wanted to focus my look on the pathway again when my eyes found something. It was a man, sitting in a window seat, about 5 metres away from me. I was caught by his hair, which seemed to be an exact copy of mine, star-shaped and tri-colored. I almost walked by and I was still looking at him. Then he turned his head looked at me, with some eyes that were almost impossible to be real. They were colored a deep crimson red, a color which I had never seen before. He smiled and I smiled back.

"Good evening," I said.

"Yes, good evening, captain," he said with a smile.

I turned my head again so I could see the pathway again. I then quickly walked to the room and when I entered, I sat down on the little bed that was standing against the wall. I thought of those eyes again... Was he wearing contact lenses? Or were they natural? I didn't know.

I undressed myself and slipped under the bedsheets. After a while, I fell asleep and dreamt some crimson dreams.
