7th String: Premonitions and Warnings

Start from the beginning

"Hey! Her mom's beautiful, too!" Alex exclaimed proudly. Natalie had shown her a picture, meaning she also told her that she was half human. And it made Alex feel at ease completely. She didn't mind having a vamp friend, but it would be uncomfortable at times. And saying that Natalie was half human calmed her nerves a lot. There was less chance that her newfound friend would turn her into a human Chooga.

Upon realizing what she said, Alex's eyes widened in shock mixed with guilt and clamped a hand on her mouth as she looked at Natalie, mumbling a "Sorry!"

Natalie on the other hand, was unfazed. She just smiled at her friend and waved her off. "Nah, it's okay. I don't mind us talking about her. It's all right." It was true. Talking about her memories with her mom didn't put her on edge. It was being reminded about how she died that did. And Natalie didn't need to worry about that. Because she didn't tell her friends about how she died. Yet. When she trusts them fully, maybe then will she tell them her most kept secret. Well, aside from the fact about the key.

All of you might think she has forgotten about it, but nope. She always kept it safe. Inside the pocket of the tank top she wore underneath her shirt. She had considered making it a necklace, but something told her that it would be reckless. What if someone takes interest in it and suddenly snatches it off of her neck? And besides, who would be crazy enough to make a friggin' car key a pendant? She was already mad as it is. In a funny way.

Alex and Armand let out a breath they didn't notice they held. Natalie laughed at them and nudged Alex. "Aren't we gonna go yet?"

Alex smiled and stood up. "Let's GO!!!" And she made her way outside the room.

Natalie just shook her head, smiling as she walked over to the door.

And just when she was about to reach it, she turned around, an eyebrow raised as she looked at Armand, who was busy ogling her. "Well...? Are you gonna go out, or are we gonna lock you in here?"

Armand grinned and followed her as she walked outside. "Of course, I'm going. Who will the girls at the mall stare and drool at if I'm not there?"

Natalie rolled her eyes and snickered. "That's what he says."

"Hey guys! Stop flirting and let's go!" They heard Alex's voice in the distance.

×Alex's POV×

Hi guys! As you all know, I'm Alexandria Joshen, and I'm a Hunter, Mage, actually and I'm one of Natalie's friends. Along with that arrogant flirt, Armand. Whoa, don't get me wrong, I don't hate him, in fact, I find him funny. He's just really a flirt. I have a proof. And it's right in front of us, people.

"Hey guys! Stop flirting and let's go!" I laughed silently as Armand glared at me. Probably cursing me mentally because I ruined his moment with Natalie. Well, everyone knows that he's got a thing for Natalie, but we also must know that I'm rooting for Neon. Yeah, N, from Natalie and -eon from Leon. She always called him Leon didn't she? So, I came up with a couple name! Ta-dah!

They're really cute to watch before. Now... I guess not. Leonel always avoids her, he didn't even glance at her the whole freakin' day! Would you believe that? The guy was so shallow. Why can't he see that Natalie just kept being a vampire a secret because she was scared we'd get scared of and ignore her forever? Can't he even try to understand?

I know I'm being pretty judgemental right now, but who cares? He was selfish. How could he do that to Natalie? She was already going through so many things and she needs her friends. Her dad kicked her out of the house and treated her like crap practically her whole life! Her mom died when she was young, and she saw the scene. I probably wouldn't be able to go to school anymore if I see a corpse - anyone in my family's corpse. Heck, I probably wouldn't even see the daylight ever again because I'm locked up in a mental hospital and busy committing suicide. Really, Natalie was strong, but I can tell that not all of their smiles are true. She fakes the most of them. And her poker face moments? It's all probably to just not let other people be aware of what she really feels.
