Look at this and tell me who provoked who?
It is clearly the Israelis who were in the wrong and started the violence.
If anyone is acting in self defence, it is Hamas.
Israel have iron domes and bunkers to protect their people from the rockets, which are not as powerful as billion dollars worth of missiles, bombs (some of which are illegal to use) and airstrikes.
Palestinians have their bodies and a minute to leave.
If they survive after their homes are destroyed, they must hide in refugee camps, places of worship and schools, and even those aren't safe from the settlers.
Some of their entire lives' worth of savings went into building those homes, destroyed by the Israeli militants in less than an hour.
The emotional trauma behind that, the memories they are forced to leave behind, the loss of family and friends. That is something that could be easily avoided by the Israelis. They choose to subject them to this torture. They know that 70% of the Gazan citizens are refugees, who do not have the money to afford building a new home.
Let's say, if for even a second, Hamas are terrorists.
How is killing civilians and bombing their homes going to stop them? Wouldn't that just make it even more difficult to control their activity? Are there not better ways to handle terrorist activity? Of course there are.
The problem is not Hamas.
The problem lies within the deep rooted Zionism that is at the very heart of the foundation of Israel.
The foundation that is supported by too many of the world's richest countries, giving them such an unfair advantage over Palestine. An advantage that they abuse severely.
Palestine must be freed from the terrorist state that is Israel.
