out of what seemed mindless chatter
a shadow running between the words
writhing, i tried to find a soul to intertwine
there an illusion slowly melted away
a love manifested revealing not a shadow
but a harbinger of affection
dazed by their words, a longing fulfilled,
finally one who i can offer my heart to
a future so bleak, but in glimpse now so bright
to lay in her world, to stay by their side...
a shattered dream, crashing shards in my eyes
leaving me blind
