Lost n' found - epilouge

Tanuki found a bunny crying near the river on Halloween. "Why are you crying?" Tanuki asked. The bunny looked up, 'You can see me?' Tanuki tilted her head, "Of course I can!" The bunny smiled with a glint of hope in her eyes. 'For some reason no one noticed me, so I think they can't see me.'
The Bushy haired girl extended her hand, "What's your name? Wanna be friends?" The bunny looked at Tanuki and smiled, "Yeah. The name's Hitomi Bunni." Tanuki smiled. "I'm Tanuki Ariguma!" The girl introduced herself. "Here," she handed over a wrapped candy. "Have some," she gave a big smile. Hitomi grabbed the candy and ate some while Tanuki sat down to also eat some candy. Within the wrapper, there were some words. On Tanuki's, it said, 'dentists don't know how good I can be!' and on Hitomi's, it said, 'you found me!'

The next Halloween, Tanuki and Bunni went out into the neighborhood. They went from house to house to get candy. Though for some reason.. no one gave Hitomi any candy. So Tanuki shared half with her. They both opened up a piece, one saying 'I found you!' and the other saying 'you found me.' They went back to Tanuki's home and saw Her moms standing outside talking to each other. Tanuki went up to them and started to happily talk about how she got, "so much candy but for some reason, my friend didn't get any." Her parents looked around with a worried expression, "Hun, there's no one there.." Tanuki was confused. "No Hitomi's right here!" she exclaimed, tapping Hitomi's shoulder in the process. Her mothers looked horrified. "Hitomi Bunni..?" One of them asked. "Yes!" Tanuki exlaimed. "Honey..." her mother kneeled. "That little bunny and their family went missing 2 years ago.."

Tanuki turned around to look at her friend... only to be faced with an awful smell and a standing decaying corpse. Maggots bursting from one of Hitomi's eyes, their jaw hanging open, and their intestines spilling out from a gaping void in her stomach. Tanuki stood in horror. She turned around to look at her moms to check if she was hallucinating. She turned around only to find her parents decaying as well. The gaping holes in their stomachs had teeth bursting from them.

This had to be a nightmare right? This can't be real! It can't! Wake up! Wake up come on!! It's a dream, it's not real!!!

Tanuki crouched down and covered her ears, she started to scream out of pure fear. She could hear them whispering, calling to her. She closed her eyes, shaking. She then felt hands grab her face. She looked up with hope that it was someone pulling out of this nightmare, only for it to be crushed. It was her. She was also a rotting corpse. Her knees were bashed in, she had claw marks all over her body with pieces of flesh peeling off. There was a huge pit in her chest, her lungs on the verge of falling out. Tanuki blinked and her corpse disappeared.
Please tell me this is over.. she begged. It wasn't over. far from it.
She felt hands and horns impale her torso. She looked down to find her heart being ripped out of her. Once the hands retrieved and successfully ripped out her vital organ, Tanuki felt shock.

She then woke up to the sensation of bandages on her body and covering her eyes.

Relief. Sweet relief washed over her. 'It's finally over..' she breathed. She then felt someone creep close and whisper to her-

"I found you~"
