Chapter 3

*no title yet*

As I woke up and was getting ready for school I was already daydreaming about meeting Braiden later. But then I started thinking, should I really be getting this close to him? I mean I know it sounds silly but as he was leaving he was being pretty flirtatious. And he was already taken. And I know it's only a job, but what if his girlfriend found out? What would she think about the whole thing? As I went through classes only half of my focus was on the actual class, the other half was on those questions. And as I started towards the locker rooms I had finally made up my mind I was going to meet him. After all I had made a promise to meet him, and I couldn't risk him getting hurt now could I? I walked on with a slight spring in my step happy with my decision. I had gotten to the room earlier than usual, probably due to my excitement. But I was happy to see Braiden show up only a few minutes later, looks like he was excited too I thought happily.

"Hey, am I late for the show?" he said with a light teasing tone to his voice.

"Of course not, and lucky you best seats in the house!" he laughed at that sitting down on the table. As he proceeded to take of his shirt I thought now this is a view I could get used to.

"So" he asked making light conversation as I walked over to him to start on his shoulder " how is high school treating you?"

"It's good, though I might be forced to off myself if I have to listen to one of Mr. Davis's lectures again."

He laughed at that, which made me smile "oh man Mr. Davis's health class is the worst!"

After that the conversation came easily, he told me about more of the teachers I should avoid and which ones were the best. We talked about sports and he told me all about what a rush it was to be under the bright lights during a game. Before I knew it our ten minutes were up, but we continued talking as I cleaned and then still after while he helped me get the supplies ready for practise. As we were sharing stories about our summer vacations I couldn't help but notice the flex of his bicep muscles while he lifted the jugs of water onto a cart.

"Well thanks for the help" I smiled as we started walking out the door.

"It's no problem I had fun, I'll see you after practise" as he ran ahead to ensure he wouldn't be late I noticed Taylor sitting on one of the benches along the wall.

"Hey! Where were you?" I asked when I was next to her.

She got up as she answered "I heard you to in there and I didn't want to disturb"

I laughed when she finished "We were just talking you couldve joined in"

"No you sounded like you were having fun, and you know me I'm just not very comfortable around people I don't know"

"Alright alright you've made you're point, but I think you would like him he's really a sweet guy"

"Sounds more like you like him" she teased. I lightly pushed her and smiled "so far yeah, but that doesn't matter he's already spoken for"

"From what I hear they're having troubles, probably make the break up public soon"

I stopes walking feeling my jaw drop. I guess it's true, the quiet ones do know everything. After a few steps she noticed that I wasn't next to her anymore. "What?" she asked with a concerned look on her face.

" How was I not aware of this information?!?!?!"

" I guess I just have better sources than you" with a smirk she started walking forward again. I walked a little faster to catch up with her, now a huge smile plastered on my face. We didn't bring it ip for the rest of practise but it was all I was thinking about. After cleaning up I was headed outside to find my mom when I was suddenly lifted off my feet from behind by an arm I would recognize anywhere. As I pretended to struggle not really wanting to be let down I heard that wounderful laugh of his again. It was deep and completely sincere, quickly becoming one of my favorite sounds. " Hey there" he said releasing me. As I righted myself I looked up to find him smileing down at me, after all he was a good deal taller.

"Hey" real original I thought. Oh well he seemed happy with it. "What's up?"

"Just wanted to make sure you had a ride"

"Yeah my moms right there" I pointed out her typical mom van and as I looked back at him he seemed slightly disappointed but he covered it fast.

"Ok cool, well ... I guess I'll see you on Monday then" he said it more as a question then a statement.

"Definately" with a smile at my answer and a wave goodbye he walked off to his car.
