{Zinnia POV}

Walking home from school has always been the best part of my day, especially after Ava kindly offered to walk to with me. Gossiping about all the random boys she talks to online. We waddle along the tarred path, eyeing all the boys and rating them by their swagginess or their looks.

"Look, that's the boy that looks like Wilbur Soot. It sucks that he's in a younger year group."

"Sheeesh you're right, he does look like Wilbur." Ava stares at him with wide eyes as he awkwardly walked past.

The sun is beaming down on us making Ava's golden locks shine and dance in the calm breeze. She looked at me and gave me her cheeky smile. We kept on walking and dodging annoying teenagers on bikes.

We got to the traffic lights and patiently waited for the man to turn from red to green. It has always been one of my unappreciated hobbies to stare into strangers' cars and this time I caught my eyes on something too gorgeous.

"Ava, Ava, Ava look at the black car, there's a fit lad"

She turned around as soon as she heard "fit" and excitedly looked at the man in the car. He caught her staring but held on the eye contact. I could swear that I saw them sending some signals with their mind.

His hair messily hung over his eyes, his jaw was sharp that I bet it could cut anything that got close to him. His top lip formed a cupid's bow as he smirked.

She quickly turned back to me, her eyes glinting with excitement.

"Everyday you make me so proud. Everyday Zinn." We started saying this to each other after the sports day 2 years ago.

"I never imagined I would say this but thank you for staring into people's cars." Wow that was unexpected from her but I'm not complaining.

Right then, we were taken back to reality as the green man starting beeping at us to cross the road. I could see from my peripheral view that Ava was still eyeing him but I chose to ignore it so she wouldn't feel like I was making fun of her, which I was doing in my head. But then again who I am to talk when I was like this too before I met Tae.

As soon as we crossed I saw Tae looking up from his phone like he had sensed my presence and gave me his cute, boxy smile. I could stare at it for a lifetime. I ran up to him and he embraced me into a warm hug.

"Hey you're very eager to see me today"

"That's cause I missed you Taetae".

I gave him that nickname on our second date and every time I called him that he would chuckle and act like he hates it but I knew he loved to hear me calling him that like he wanted the whole world to know about it.

When Ava cleared her throat, I realised we had company and quickly moved away from Tae's grasp and turned to look at her. My cheeks were heating up. I could sense Tae smirking behind me. He loved to embarrass me.

"Hi Ava, long time no see. How are your online boyfriends?" Tae casually asked.

There he goes again. I thought to myself.

Ava glared at me and I felt like running away. She was definitely going to kill me. I gave her a "I'm sorry" smile.

"I see Zinn told you about my friends that I met online". She didn't take her eyes of me and emphasised when she said 'friends'. "And they are alright, thanks for asking. How are you Tae?"

Tae just shrugged. "Same old same old."

At that, she looked back at me and smiled goodbye but I knew she was still angry. I gave her a small wave and went back to hugging Tae.

I could never get tired of this.

{Ava POV}

I cannot believe Zinn. She promised she wouldn't tell Tae because I knew that he wouldn't waste the opportunity to annoy me. And there she goes telling the whole world with that big mouth of hers. Small forehead and big mouth. I sighed to myself and looked down. Can't undo what's already done. Either way, I can't stay mad at her for too long so I decided to forget what just happened and carried on walking to my older sister's house.

I was crossing the road again and I saw a black car drive by which quickly reminded me of him.

From what he was wearing, I could tell he went to the boy's school further down our town and he was in Year 13 because he was driving. I could easily track him down. He was driving towards my school way so that could mean he either lives around there or the surrounding villages.

I know I would be able to get the details of the car from Zinn as she's amazing at observing and has photographic memory.

I couldn't stop myself from thinking about him. They way he sat in his car with ease but his eyes were mischievous. I could feel a shiver run down my spine. The good kind of one. I noticed he had few rings on his long fingers. I smirked thinking about the use of the long fingers.

As I reached my sister's house, I pushed dirty thoughts out of my mind. I have a 3 year old nephew to take care of and this would not help. I shook my head a little and opened the door to be greeted my nephew running into my legs and my sister snickering at the sight.
