DONNY

PROLOGUE

Donny was delighted, she was going back home early.
It was 5pm and her boss said she could go.
Extra work was always assigned to her whenever she finished what she was to do.
Moreover, her husband was coming back from his trip.
He had been away for three months now and she missed him.
She prayed she would be able to get home in time and prepare dinner for him.
She left and went home.

Danny got into the house and heard no voice.
It was already past 10pm and he had promised her that he would be home by 6pm.
Maybe he was back and was asleep because he was tired.
She dropped her bag in the living room and started going upstairs.
There was blood drops on the staircase.
The closer she got to her room, the more the blood became.
She tiptoed to the door and opened it.
The image on the bed stuck to her mind.
Her husband was in bed naked and a knife was buried in his body.
Blood filled their bed.
Blood.
Blood.
Blood.
She blank out.

CHAPTER ONE
The doctor wrote out his prescription for her.
Donny was not listening to what the doctor was saying.
She was out of the area.
She kept playing back Friday's incident.
She had been excited to go back to her husband.
She had not seen him for three months and she won't ever see him.
He was gone.
They had plans.
Donny started shouting.
She was hitting the table very hard.
She stood up and dragged his scrub.
She transferred all her transgression to the doctor.
She had the strength of a lion, although she had not eaten for the three days she was in coma.
He started shouting for help, he was frustrated.
Two nurses on duty came in and held Donny.
They tried all they could to calm her down, she was still aggressive.
Finally they resorted to sleeping drugs, it would have it side effects.
But then it was better than how she was currently.
Her husband's death was a serious one.

THREE WEEK LATER
Donny sat in front of her doctor.
She was well composed and was listening to everything he was saying.
She was making note, she was ready to be discharged.
Her response to her drugs had improved and she was able to talk about how she felt.
The doctor had hire a therapist for her, the therapist talked to her and adviced her.
They took a routine walk around the hospital everyday.
Donny started swimming and associating with other hospital mates.
