Deep in the Forest of Giant Trees, Captain Levi sat on an empty crate as he glared at Zeke before feeling a hand rest on his own. Looking down at the person's hand, his eyes trailed up their arm before looking at a familiar pair of (y/c) eyes that he loved so much. Giving a sigh through his nose, he held her hand with his fingers interlocking with hers which earned him a soft smile. Before long, Valis came running over looking distressed and whispered into Levi's ear. His eyes widened and his glare became hard.
"What?! Are you serious?!"
"Unfortunately, sir." Valis frowned.
"Tch. Great. Return to your spot, I'll meet you up there in a minute."
"Yes, sir." Giving a salute, Valis zipped up with his ODM gear onto one of the higher branches of a tree where a messenger Scout was waiting.
Levi looked towards his partner and gave her hand a squeeze before letting go and standing up from his spot. "(Y/n). Keep an eye on beardy. I need to talk to Valis. Something's come up and it's urgent."
"Alright." She nodded.
He nodded and walked off towards the tree before using his gear to zip up to talk with his comrades. Zeke waited until he was out of hearing range before speaking up. "Did you do it?"
"....Yes...I made sure everyone drank the wine like you told me...." she frowned in utter guilt of what she had done.
"Good. Your little boyfriend will be spared, as I promised. Now, we just need to wait for the right moment."
(Y/n) sat there in silence as she tried to think of a way to tell Levi about his plan before it was too late. Her thoughts were soon interrupted when Levi suddenly came back down and made his way over to the two. "Did he try anything funny?"
"No. He didn't."
He, then, glared at the bastard. "Enjoying your book?"
"As much as possible. For a book I've read seven times." Zeke answered as he flipped a page.
"Seems to me that you've been eavesdropping more than you've been reading." He spat.
"Can you really blame me when I've read the book this many times?" Zeke retorted.
Levi just scoffed as (Y/n) listened to their 'friendly' conversation before Zeke spoke up again.
"By the way, is there any wine left?"
Her body stiffened at the question. Right then, she knew he was about to put his plan into action but remained calm as she gave a disapproving look.
"Of course not. We've been here a month. There isn't a single drop left." She answered.
"Damn, too bad. You're both real expert torturers, you know that?" He sighed.
Levi glared at him before turning his heels back towards the tree that he came from. "Just read your book."
"As you command, Captain." Zeke mocked in response.
As Levi walked off, (Y/n) eyed Zeke nervously as he stretched with a yawn to show his possible fake boredom. She knew it was too late to tell Levi anything. Now she had to go along with his plan in hopes Levi will understand why she did it in the first place. Her thoughts were snapped back to reality when a hand suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her off her seat. She stumbled but kept her balance as Zeke ran while dragging her with him. When she looked back, she saw Levi watching them with a confused look.
He blinked. "(Y/n)? What are you-" he started before being cut off.
"I'm sorry, Levi!" She frowned as she ran.
At that, Zeke screamed from the top of his lungs, triggering the spinal fluid to turn all thirty soldiers into pure titans. Guilt ate at her as she saw the look of hurt and betrayal on her lover's face when he realized the situation.
"What?" His body froze then looked up as his comrades became paralyzed before their bodies glowed with a bright light. 'No...she didn't....she couldn't have....not for that damn monkey....she loves me...right?' He thought, his heart feeling heavy with hurt and betrayal.
The forest looked like it was decorated with Christmas lights for a minute before huge titans came raining down around Levi. "(Y/N), WHY ARE YOU-!" He yelled before the giant bodies collided with the ground, sending clouds of dirt everywhere as Levi covered himself from the impact. "(Y/N)!!!!"
"Hate to break it to you, pal! But (Y/n) is mine!" Zeke yelled back as he ran with her in tow.
Levi's heart skipped a beat as his eyes went wide. "No....NO!" He used his gear to zip up a nearby tree as a Titan came rushing towards him on all fours. "(Y/N), THIS ISN'T RIGHT!"
"I-I KNOW! I'M SO SORRY! She said with tearful eyes.
Levi swiftly maneuvered around the titan's massive hands while keeping his composure from all the emotions going through his head. He was pissed, confused, and hurt. He didn't understand why her, of all the people he fully trusted, would do this kind of shit.
He growled. "'SORRY' MY ASS, YOU SELFISH PIG! THESE ARE OUR COMRADES!OUR FRIENDS! BUT YOU CHOSE TO SAVE YOURSELF?!
"I HAD TO!" She wanted to say more but she knew he probably wouldn't listen to her. And Zeke gave a look to remind her to keep her mouth shut as they ran out of sight.
Levi zipped left and right, not wanting to kill his fellow comrades before one almost squashed him against the tree if he hadn't dodged it. Right as another went to grab him from behind, he quickly drew out his blades and twisted himself to cut its fingers before it could. As he turned to face it, he recognized it as Valis before maneuvering higher above it. He glanced down at the horde with remorse, knowing what he had to do. "Fine, (Y/n)....if this is how you want to play it....then I will find you....and I'll kill you...."
