"No?" the three trolls repeated.
"That's right. We are not keeping this monster in our house."
"Oh, Branch," Poppy said, taking Shimmer from Azalea. She walked over to Branch, holding her out to him. "Dose this look like a monster to you?"

Shimmer licked his face, and he backed away, whipping the slobber off his face, disgusted.

"Not right now. No," he said. "But Cuddle Pup's grow. That thing is a predator, Poppy! It'll eat us all whole!"

Azalea walked over, taking Shimmer back. "Please, daddy," she said giving him the puppy dog eyes. "No," Branch replied, crossing his arms, and turning away.
"Please."
"I said no."
"Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaase!"
"Azalea!" Branch yelled, turning to face his daughter. "I said no! And that's final!"

Azalea backed away, and blinked, shocked. Branch had never yelled at her before.

She looked down at Shimmer, tears going into her eyes. Branch felt bad for yelling.

"Listen, Azalea... I..." he reached for her shoulder, but she pulled away.
"I HATE YOU!" Azalea yelled, turning to run away.

Branch stood in shock, his heart sinking into his stomach.

"She... she hates me?"
