suddenly a strong pair of hands are dropped on my shoulder and the sweet voice of dream booms out from behind me
"drista! what the hell are you doing here?" he says big goofy grin on his face walking over and tackling her into a hug
"i flew down from dads last night, i wanted to see you graduate!"
"is dad here" he asks expression going blank
"no" is all she says
wonder what happened between them, but thats not for me to know
"anyways how long you staying for?" he asks change the mood to a comfortable one
"till mid june" she says checking the calendar to confirm
"cool" he says writing it in his phone
"well ive got practice since the big game is tonight, i assume youll be there" she nods
"yeah im gonna head off, got some unpacking and errands to run. ill see you tonight" she waves walking to the parking lot

its not 4pm the other team is beginning to arrive and within the next hour all the students parents and college scouts will also pile in

with a final pep talk we are just about ready to start, but i need one thing
jogging over to the centre sideline i grab george
