[Ace Mulligan - The Left Brain - RNK: N/A]

Jacky: "BBBUUUTTT AAACCCEEE, it's been a whole day, and Chance didn't come back home. I WAS WORRIED!"

Chance and Ace gave her the look.

Jacky: "Ok, and I'm a little hungry, BUT MOSTLY WORRIED!"

Ace, but scoffed, while Chance laughed at his siblings. Jacky and Ace were both complete opposites, while Jacky was the 'emotional' one, Ace was more 'apathetic', and people just started them righty, and lefty because of their personality.

Ace: "You always do this. Just stop eating all of the leftovers and snacks from late-night, and eat them when you're hungry!"

Jacky: "BUT I WAS HUNGRY AT THAT TIME!"

Ace: "YOU ATE 10 MINUTES AGO!"

Their yell-off would have gone on forever if Chance didn't give both of them a light tap on the head.

Chance: "Jacky, stop running, you're going to fall, and Ace stop yelling at your sister."

Ace: "BUT SHE YELLS ALL THE TIME!"

Chance: "Yea, buts she's the exception."

Jacky: "YEA, I'M THE EXCEPTION!"

Chance: "Now, both of you shut up and prepare the table, big brother Chance is going to be cooking tonight."

Jacky: "YYYYEEEAAAA!"

Jacky as the human missile she is running towards the kitchen, before tripping and falling over. A moment passes before Jacky shots back up.

Jacky: "I'm FINE!"

Said Jacky before running into the kitchen.

Ace: "How are we even related?"

Chance: "I wish I knew, now help your sister set the table.

[A Dinner Timeskip later]

[The Mulligan House Hold - Early Night]

Jacky: "NNNNNOOOOOOO!"

Chance: "J-Jacky..."

Jacky: "YOU CAN'T GO ADVENTURING AGAIN, WHAT IF A BIG [Monster] TAKES BIG BROTHER AWAY!"

Now, this is not uncommon in the slightest, while [Adventuring] was a high-paying job, that high pay also came with the fact, that you could die 9/10. It doesn't help that Chance is an F-Ranked Adventurer, so he was left with all of the trash jobs with somewhat low risk, but low reward.

Chance: "You know I have to. You want food in your belly?"

Jacky: "......Yea?"

Chance: "Then you have to let me do my job."

Jacky: "But what if you don't come back like mama and papa?!"

Chance wince at her words. Their parents were famous [Adventurers] that saved a dying town, and in their words "Gave a town a reason to see a new dawn." Though, if you were to ask them after, they really would just tell you "Skill, and pure bullsh*t luck." Sadly, their luck would run out, one day they went on an S-Rank quest, and like most great [Adventurers] they died. leaving me with two 4-year-old siblings and my Uncle.

Chance: "I promise that I will come back."

Jacky: "...pinky promise?"

Chance smiled as he laced his pinky with his sister.

Chance: "Pinky promise."

As the pinky promise was sealed, Jacky leaped up and hugged her brother. Her brother returning the hug. After a minute or two, Chance could hear her snoring slightly. Giggling, he laid her sister on her bed.

Ace: "You better keep your promise."

Ace said in his bed which was on the other side of the room.

Chance: "I will."

Chance took a moment before getting up and leaving the room, turning off the lights as he did.

Chance: "I hope."

Chance closes the door.

[In the Vastness of Space]

Soul: "I think I have found a perfect host."

Mind: "Who is it?"

Soul: "It is the eldest son of the Mulligans."

Bodi: "A Mulligan? This will be perfect."

Soul: "Let's test this boy, agreed?"

Mind/Bodi: "Agreed."

???: "What are we talking about again?"

???2: "About the project."

???: "OOOHHHH, right, right."
