the Unexpected

Explanation

It was nearly 8:00 pm nung nakarating ako sa bahay, good thing nakauwi naman ako ng maayos kahit ako lang magisa. I am still wondering kung anung emergency ang tinutukoy ni Locket, I am a bit disappointed dahil pinabayaan nya ko magisa pero wala akong karapatan na mag-reklamo. I know his pleasant mood wouldn't last until we leave  that place and I was right.

Sinalubong ako ni Xandy pagpasok ko ng bahay namin and after giving me a 'super-duper-I-miss-you-hug' tinadtad na nya ko ng tanong. Kahit na pagod ako, I joined them at dinner and tell them all the stories I brought from the camp.

I saw how mom and dad smiled at each other and that makes my heart pound for happiness. Xandy was pouting again at me dahil hindi ako nakapagpicture the entire camp and I actually feel sorry. 

"Xandy, let your twin get some rest. I am sure she had a long day." dad told Xandy and planted a soft kiss on our forehead.

"Ok, sissy we will talk a lot more about it tomorrow." I just smiled and said good night.

I missed this home. I missed them. I missed my bed. And I already missed the people at the camp. 

Including him?

With my blanket covering me, I fell asleep unconsciously.

I almost forgot it's Monday and I have classes today, buti na lang ginising ako ni Xandy. Kulang na kulang pa ang pahinga ko kagabi. Ngayon ko lang din naramdaman ang sakit ng katawan ko pati ng paa ko.

Mukhang kailangan ko ulit to lagyan ng benda.

I rushed to get some shower and get ready for school, minamadali na ko ni Xandy dahil malelate na daw sya sa usapan nila ni JC. I grabbed Locket's jacket na ibabalik ko na sa kanya mamaya and headed to the car.

Wala kaming pinagusapan kung hindi yung mga nangyari sa camp at yung mga nangyari sa bahay habang wala ako.

"JC and I spent the weekend together, we watch movie, eat out and watch a concert of our favorite band. Sayang nga hindi ka nakasama, for sure magugustuhan mo sila." I don't know which band she is talking about pero for sure hindi ko magugustuhan yun dahil magkaiba kami ng taste sa music ni Xandy.

As we reached the school, I searched for my phone in my bag to text Lindsay but it wasn't there. Maybe I left it at home, suddenly I remembered Locket told me to call him pag nakauwi na ko. 

I forgot.

Maybe, he already knew na nakauwi na ko, malaki na ko and besides I honestly forgot about it dahil nakatulog na ko agad paghiga ko sa kama ko. 

I walk straight to my Philosophy class and look for Lindsay but she was also not there. I took my usual sit without Lindsay and think that maybe she is just late. Lumapit sakin yung isa kong kakalase na babae and handed me a note, galing daw kay Lindsay.

"Hey freshie, sorry I have an emergency I have to miss this class today. See you around.

-PS. I owe you an explanation :( "

Nauuso yata ang emergency ngayon at pati si Lindsay hindi rin makakapasok dahil sa emergency. I just hope it's nothing so serious. So sweet of her to leave a note for me and think she owed me an explanation, though she really do. 

Xandy and JC were waiting for me outside pagkatapos ng klase ko and they said they want me to join them in lunch dahil namis nila ko. After a long time, ngayon lang ulit kami nagkita at nagkausap ni JC. We haven't spoke and hear anything from each other since, I can't remember anymore. But it's good to see my bestfriend again.
