Allison's P.O.V

I sat in the middle of my bed, legs and arms crossed with my hair pulled over my shoulder looking at the phone in my hands. So much had happened in the last year that I could barely believe it was my life and not a movie, it felt like I wasn't living anymore. It felt like I was just surviving. My life was everything I wanted it to be, my parents were still happily married somehow never getting past their 'honey moon' stage even after so many years, I was flying by in all my classes with grades that would surely get me to a good college, but best of all I had my best friend. I would never admit it but he was everything to me, I loved waking up in the morning with a long morning text waiting and not being able to go to bed without the routine 'goodnight call'. A tear slipped down my cheek and onto the screen as all the memories started flooding back to me all in one rough hit, I loved him so much but I felt such a hate for him. Not for him as a person, but for leaving, for completely disappearing from my life when I needed him most.

I quickly stood up from my bed tossing my phone onto my desk picking up my journal. I sat down at my desk and flipped it open running my finger tips softly over the first page, the picture of this boy who came into my life and vanished. "Where did you go?" I whispered softly wiping my eyes before any more tears could fall onto the picture. I started flipping through the pictures reading my old words letting that night slowly creep back into my mind.

Flashback in Allison's P.O.V

I ran into the room jumping up into his waiting arms hiding my face into the crook of his neck. "I should've listened to you I'm sorry!" I gushed wrapping my arms tightly around his neck. He chuckles tilting his head over kissing my cheek so softly I had to look over to make sure he did. "You watched the movie without me didn't you" he asked narrowing his eyes slightly leaning back on the door closing it. "I did! I'm sorry, I should've waited for you!" I pouted twirling my fingers into the back of his hair giving him the best puppy eyes I could. He sighed and pecked the tip of my nose quickly before walking over and dropping down onto the couch keeping me close. I nuzzled my face back into the crook of his neck dropping my arms around his waist. "Why is it that the minute you watch a scary movie, everything around you looks darker and you start hearing things?" I muffled against his neck closing my eyes. "Well, in this case I'd call it karma for not waiting for me." He smirked running his finger tips along my back causing a shiver to run down my spine. "You're always such a jerk to me." I lifted my head slightly pouting at him. He looked me over, not in the sense of checking me out but almost as if, taking a mental picture of me in one of my vulnerable moments. "I love you, but you're just hard headed." He smiled slightly brushing a strand of my hair behind my ear. I couldn't help but smile widely when he said that, the things he would say would make me furious if it wasn't for the love he always had behind them. I was about to lean over and kiss his cheek but a knock on the door interrupted me. "Did you invite anyone over?" He asked me already starting to get up to look through the small peep hole in the door. I shook my head bringing my knees up to chest. "I thought it was someone you might have invited." I looked over to the door confused hugging my legs. He shook his head stepping away from the door checking it was locked. "It's no one I know, go to our room and lock the door." He practically whispered pulling me up by my forearm. I crosses my arms over my chest glaring up at him from under my bangs. "I'm not leaving you out here." I stood my ground against his tall frame as he towered over me. He sighed getting ready to bite back at me when they simple knock on the door turned into a rough banging. In a glance he was pulling me to our room pushing me gently inside. "Please don't fight back with me right now, just stay in here and keep quiet or whatever was in the movie is going to come out of the closet." He murmured, quickly turning the lock on the door closing it as I saw him turning back down the hallway. I stood there in the middle of the room my jaw hanging as I sat on the edge of the bed looking around nervously. Of course he would use the movie against me! He saw how uneasy it had me and he used it against me, leaving me practically glued to where i was. I was about to get up and walk out to shout and kick at Zayn for doing that to me but I was cut off by the sound of the front door kicking open and a loud crash. I stuck my eyes on the bedroom door fisting the sheets in my hand nervously. The sounds of men shouting, glass breaking, even what sounded like wood snapping was digging at my ears. The final straw was when something was thrown at the bedroom door, causing it to crack slightly and the sound of Zayn grunting from the other side. I sat wide eyed on the bed not knowing what to do, minutes went by and everything outside was dead silent. Reality hit me and I shot up darting to unlock the door praying to find Zayn hiding somewhere outside. That dream was shattered when I opened the door and Zayn'a bloody an battered body fell onto my feet. I screamed falling back scooting back along the floor until my back slammed into the bed. "Z-zayn?" I whimpered crawling slightly closer to him. I sniffled kneeling beside him shaking him slightly. "Zayn please" I pleaded tears starting to blur my vision as I looked down at him, I swore I could see him getting paler by the second. I sat down lifting his head onto my lap brushing my thumb softly against his badly bruised cheek. "Zayn, I need you. You can't do this to me, you can't do this to yourself please." I whispered softly running my fingers through his hair looking him over for any sign on movement. I practically jumped when his finger twitched and he groaned softly tilting his head to the side on my lap. I quickly wiped the tears from my eyes taking his hand in mine. "Zayn? Can you hear me, it's going to be okay I promise alright?" I said trying not to smile too much knowing he was badly hurt rubbing my thumb against the back of his hand. I gasped when he shot up from my hand looking around nervously backing up against the wall. "W-where are they? D-did they leave?" He stuttered the look of pure terror clear in his eyes. I stood up slowly walking over to him brushing his hair away from his forehead looking at the gash that somehow just stopped bleeding. His eyes widened when he looked down at me quickly cupping my cheeks in his bloody hands. "Oh god Alli are you okay? Did they hurt you?" He asked quickly spinning me around looking me over for any wounds. "Zayn I'm fine, how are you standing?" I asked taking his hands furrowing my eyebrows up at him. He raises an eyebrow shaking his head slightly. "I guess i didn't get hurt too bad." He mumbled looking down at his ripped bloody clothes shrugging slightly. I took his hand dragging him over to the mirror in the hallway letting him see himself completely. He turned a shade paler as he stepped closer to the mirror running his fingers slowly all the cuts and bruises covering his body. I had turned away leaving him to inspect himself walking around what was left of the apartment. The door was blown in as if a car had been rammed into it knocking it clean off its hinges, the glass coffee table in front of the tv was smashed with a small pool of blood collected at the bottom, the tv had a fist sized hole going clean through it. The entire room was a mess of blood, broken glass, and everything that was once put away was thrown onto the floor. Strangely enough nothing was missing, yes it was all everywhere and broken but nothing was taken. It was as if they had come solely with the purpose of ruining a perfect day. I walked back into the small hallway finding myself face to face with a sight I had never seen, Zayn slowly breaking down already in tears.
