"Good morning Mrs. Perez, delivery for you."
As she look at her granny's reaction from the bouquet which her secretary handed to her, ganun pa rin, wala pa ring nagbabago.
Sa loob ng 7 taon niyang pagbibisita ng kanyang lola sa Canada every summer, every time her lola received a beautiful sea lavender flower, a smile with full of sympathy flashes unto her face.
Out of curiosity, matapang niyang tinanong ang kanyang lola.
"Granny, I don't get it po. Why are you smiling with sad eyes every time you receive that beautiful flower? What's behind with that beautiful flower po?"
"Hmmm. Let's see. You're still 8 years old Reisz. Diba I told you, I'll tell everything to you when you are old enough?"
"Eh granny naman eh. I am old enough na po granny. I wanna know, I wanna know, I wanna know! Please do tell me granny."

"I'll tell you when you are ready, my dear. Your mom's calling. Papauwiin ka na ata sa Pilipinas. Tonight's your flight, so uwi na muna tayo sa bahay and we'll pack your things."
"Di ka po ba sasama granny? Maiiwan ka na naman po ba dito?"
"Yaya Tina's with you apo. May work si granny dito eh. I'll visit you soon when I can, okay?"
"Okay po granny."

"Goodbye granny! See you next year! I'll be back next summer!"
"Be good always my little Reisz. I love you."
A faint smile flashes unto her face, again.

"Mommy, I kinda miss granny. When can I go to Canada and see granny again?"

"Sandali lang anak ha? May tumatawag."
*Calling from Canada*
"Hello?"
"Hello maam? May I speak with Mrs. Go?"
"Yes, Mrs. Go speaking."
"Hello maam, sad to say this over the phone but Mrs. Perez is gone."
