Song Preference- My Heart Can't Tell You No by Sara Evans

Paul: One look in your eyes and suddenly, my heart can't tell you no

Paul was never around. The first few weeks you two were together, he was perfect. Then, he started randomly disappearing and acting weird. You never asked where he was, or who he was with, but tonight was different. You were a singer, and you had a big show tonight. He promised he'd be there, but he wasn't. You performed amazingly, but you were really hurt that he ditched you. He showed up at your house after the show. "I'm sorry."

"Good." You said, walking away. He followed you through the house.

"You're mad, I get it, but-"

"No, you don't get it, Paul! That's the problem. I try so hard to give you space and be what you want, but I needed you tonight! And you weren't there." You said.

"You don't understand."

"No, I don't." You said. "You're always gone, and I don't know where you are or what you're doing or who you're with because I don't ask and you don't tell me! I'm so sick of it!"

"I'm doing patrol." He said.

"Doing what?" You huffed, exasperated.

"There's a fire tonight. That's why I'm here. I need you to come. They're really exclusive. Only me and the boys, and their imprints, and the elders are allowed to come." He said.

"What's an imprint?" You demanded.

"You are an imprint. You're my imprint. And at the fires, they tell the tribe legends. Just, come with me, and listen very closely to the legends, and they'll explain everything. If you still hate me, I'll leave you alone." He negotiated, tilting your chin up. You looked into his eyes. You sighed, grabbing your jacket.

"Let's go."

Jacob: When the one you love's in love with someone else, don't you know it's torture

You took another sip of your drink as someone knocked on the door. It was late. You knew it had to be Jacob. You walked towards the door, pulling it open. You took another drink. "Hey, Y/N. Wait- are you okay?"

"Yep." You mumbled shortly.

"Babe, why are your eyes red?" He asked.

"I'm fine." You said.

"Why are your eyes red?" He asked again, taking your hands.

"You were with her." You said.

"Bella? Oh. Y/N, she needs me!" He exclaimed.

"Well you know what? So do I!" You yelled.

"Y/N," he begged.

"You've felt it before! You should know where I'm coming from! It hurts to be in love with someone who loves someone else!" You screamed.

"Don't." He said desperately.

"Just... go. Please." You said quietly, closing your eyes. He let go of your hands. You opened your eyes to see him walking out the door. You walked behind him until he got to the porch, and closed the door.

Embry: I want to hold you, touch you, when you look at me that way

You and Embry went back to being best friends, but you felt differently about him. You saw him as more than just your best friend. You were pretty sure you were in love with him. You sat next to him and the others on the beach as he told you about his day. There was a fire tonight. He said he had something to tell you, but you guessed he had forgotten. He's so amazing, you thought to yourself. You smiled at him as his eyes lit up when he got to a part in the story that he was really excited about. Tell him. Tell him. Tell him. "Em, I have something to tell you."
