Star's P.O.V.
After what felt like hours, I cleaned myself up and went back downstairs. There was no one in the living room so I checked the kitchen but I didn't see anyone in there either. I went into the room by living room but it was empty. I thought they were gone until I heard my mother's laugh echoing through the house. I walked down the long hall and found the guest room where they were.
It was kind of weird because as far as I know, no one in the house has ever been in the guests' room. I personally never been in half the rooms in this house. We have a basement but I've never been down there since my dad keeps the door locked. I've only ever been in my room, my parent's room, the kitchen, and the living room. I guess I just have no interest in the rest of the house. My father also has an office but he has it locked as well.
To think about it, I don't even know what my dad's job is. I never asked and he never told me. I mean yeah my dad is secretive and is absent most of the time but I never thought anything of it. It's probably nothing. He's probably just a busy businessman. But that's another tale for another time.
When I walked into the room, my mom noticed me first. "Hey sweetie when did you get home?" I walked over and gave her a hug. "I've been home for about two hours now. I was just tired and I went straight to sleep." I mumbled against her chest. She sighed and rubbed her fingers through my hair. "Aww, my hardworking little baby." I smiled and pulled away. I walked over to Cecile and quickly engulfed her into a hug.
"Hi baby, how are you?" she asks. "Good." I reply, pulling away from the hug. I smiled and walked over to Sean. "I'm sorry about making you and your girlfriend fight." "You didn't MAKE us do anything and plus we didn't fight, she was just a little aggravated." I say a little harsher than I expected. He sighed and looked down at his shoes. "Right...sorry." I groaned and grabbed his hand. "Stop apologizing."
"Come here." I held his hand as I led him back to the living room. I sat him on the couch and said, "Sit here. I'll be right back." I went into the kitchen and got my cookie dough ice cream along with two spoons. I went back into the living room and handed Sean a spoon before sitting next to him. I opened the container then I laid my head on his shoulder. We both took a spoon and ate it. It continued for a while like that, in silence.
I finally broke the silence. "I hate to see her go. I know weŕe not breaking up, but it still makes me feel some way." I mumble. Sean sighs and rubs his fingers through my hair. He didn't say anything so I continued. "I hated it when you left. It's like everyone around me leaves." He shushed me and held me tighter. "I know. But we always come back don't we?" "Yeah. I guess." I whispered and wiped a stray tear from my eye. "Thanks." "Of course. What are friends for?" he replies. I could feel him smirk into my hair.
Just then, my phone started ringing. I took my phone out of my back pocket and answered it.
Hey CeCe. What's up?
Hey babes. I just wanted to ask you something.
Okay...
It's okay if you say no, but I was wondered if you could go to this party with me.
Umm..I would but it's a school night and you know my parents be tripping.
I know. I know. It's just, we haven't been to a party in a while and I don't wanna go alone.
