"Can I ask you something?". He looked straight at me. I could feel myself tense up almost immediately "Yes? Of course you can" "Can we talk like this forever?". He placed his hand on my knee and yet again, I could feel myself heating up. Eli your so frustrating! Do you mean to say things in a flirtatious manner or a friendly manner!. Eli seems like one of those people who flirt without even knowing it, Eli Clark why do you have to be so frustrating and handsome!. I shook myself out of my thoughts and smiled at him "Of course, I would love to talk to you more". His face seemed to lit up once more, I couldn't help but smile myself. Seeing Eli happy made me happy. I looked down at his hand and noticed he had a ring, I looked down at it for a while, it was very beautiful. I picked up his hand and held it while looking at each single detail at the ring. I placed both of my fingers on each side of his ring finger and looked up at him to see him with a smile "May I?" "Go ahead". I slipped the ring off of his glove, it looked like an engagement ring! "Your married?" "No. I used too but she passed away-". He got quiet and the atmosphere made me slightly uncomfortable, He had a fiancé. I couldn't help but feel a bit sad "Is that why you came to the manor?". He stayed quiet and struggled to form words. "it's hard to explain- she felt guilty for being the reason I can't see anymore, for breaking the oath. She wanted me to find a way to salvage the situation, to her not all hope was lost. When I received the invitation, she forced me to go and try to fix it, I regret it but it was her last wish from me anyway". He seemed to have really loved the women "What was she like?" "She was interesting, she was kind but very dominant and moody. I used to tell her stories, she loved them. Sometimes she would fall asleep to them"
Small warning, I have absolutely no idea what Gertrude (Eli's Fiancé) looks like so I'm just going to imagine what she would look like if you know what she looks like please tell me!.
"What did she look like?". He stood quiet and got up over to his desk, he shuffled through his drawers. After a while he motioned me to come over, I walked over next to him and noticed he held a Polaroid photograph. He gave it to me and I looked in amazement she was beautiful. She had long slightly curled hair, she had green hazel eyes. Her body was perfect, she had a very feminine and petite figure. In the photograph she was sat down, she wore a simple pastel blue dress. "Where are you?" Eli let out a small laugh "I was the one who took the picture. I don't believe I have a picture of the both of us or me but I can look for you". I nodded in excitement and looked at the women one more time before returning the photograph back to him. He placed it back and looked up at the clock "It's 1:15 we should go to sleep". I nodded and took my water bottle and waved at him, he waved back at me with a smile "Goodnight Eli" "Goodnight".
I walked into my room in disbelief, I just met the man but I'm so close to him! He's so approachable I love it. I lay quietly across my bed while thinking about everything we talked about, I look forward to the next time we talk, I hope we do.
