Next morning avni woke up only to find karan already gone. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the wall clock. It shows half past 9
Avni: 9:30 ho gye aur main abhi tak yahi hoon... Jaldi chalo...
She hurriedly got ready and went down stairs.
Shweta greeted her and served her breakfast.
Avni: mummy ji woh... Karan aur baki sab?
Shweta: subah hi chale gye...
Avni felt her behavior somewhat odd.
Avni: (in mind) mummy ji aise kyu behave kar rahi hai?
Shweta left without saying anything.
Avni silently had her breakfast and left for office.
Flashback:
That morning;
Karan came down ready in his office clothes.
Prakash and shweta greeted him.
Prakash: kya socha tum dono ne?
Karan: dad mom aaj se 7 saal pehle bhi mera jawab wahi tha aur aaj bhi... Main shadi nahi karunga...
Shweta: kittu bas kar.. Aakhir kab tak tum dono aise rahoge? Aur neav ka..
Karan: mom please... Neav baccha hai... Samjhayenge to samajh jayega... Mujhe is baare mein ab ke baad discussion nahi karni aur aap log... Avni se kuch nahi kahenge... Kabhi nahi...
Prakash: par karan...
Karan: dad please..
He takes a deep breath and left for office.
Prakash and shweta sat there looking at his retreating figure and then sighed.
Flashback ends.
Avni was sitting in her cabin rolling a paper weight.
She kept her head on the head rest and thought about the past.
Avni POV
Karan sach mein accha hai... I mean usne mujhe aajtak kabhi force nahi kiya... Humesha mera support jab sab kuch toot raha tha tab bhi karan mere saath tha... Kya mujhe usse shadi leni chahiye? Par maine hi kaha tha ki main kabhi usse ek dost se upar nahi maan sakti... Phir ab... Arrggh!! (Rubbing her face with palms) kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai kya karu?...
