A neighbor leaving for work called 911 at 3:04 AM, saying, "A boy laying facedown in a puddle of mud, wearing hardly any clothes bleeding from the head". Parts of his hair were hacked off and parts of his scalp appear to have been nicked with rusty scissors. Other than a prior injury to the knee, his limbs were perfectly fine.
