Dear Allie,

I loved you like a best friend. I don't know if you ever felt the same for me, but I don't think I ever will find out.

Don't worry about me. I don't think you will, anyway. Now you won't have to worry about going out with me in public, in fear of people from school seeing us hanging out. You can be free to hang out with the popular kids- Molly and Sammy and them lot.

I bet you're on your way to meet them now. I bet you just found this lying on your cluttered desk, and are about to stuff it in your messy drawer, where I know you'll never look again.

I could laugh, because I know you so well. More than you could ever dream of knowing me. You secretly hated me, and I saw right through your fake smiles. You were the only 'friend' I had. Thanks for the time you wasted with me.

In years to come, you'll have loads of fun with Molly, and you'll probably end up with Drake, who I know you've admired from afar. I'll be just another 'someone'...who'll slowly fade into a 'no-one'.

But it's okay. I understand. I'll always remember you as a friend, who was never actually my friend.

Best Wishes,

M.S x

P.S. Don't forget to leave a note for your mum saying where you are; you know how she gets worried at the slightest of things.
