The Necklace | Chapter 2 | New Squad Members

Narrator Pov:

It's currently 3 pm, everyone is downstairs discussing the new squad members' arrival tomorrow.

'Charli: I still can't believe the new squad members are moving in tomorrow!

'Jade: Don't get so excited, we're gonna have to help pack for the both of them.

'Charli: Oh..right.

'Alex: C'mon it won't be so bad!

'Zach: Will it...?

'Alex: Yeah! It'll be fun!

While everyone was sitting at the kitchen table, Jaxx was cooking lunch for himself.

'Drake: Jaxx, are you sure- you don't wanna make any for the rest of us...?

'Jaxx: Yeah, I'm making for myself, none of you are getting anything.

'The Squad (except for Jaxx): Aww...

'Drake: Anyways....I'm going upstairs to continue my daily draw.

'Jade: I'll come with!

'Light: I'm probably gonna take a nap..

'Charli: Okay! I might do so as well.

'Zach: Calm Down Simp.

'Charli: I'm not a simp!!

*TimeSkip to Evening (7:09 pm)*

*Light's Pov*

I unlock my phone and look on instagram to see any new posts from Alex. She did post something today..but it had absolutely nothing to do with me or the rest of the squad so I just liked the post and moved on. Then someone knocked on my door, it was Charli.

~"Oh hey Charli!" I said standing in the door way with the door half open.

-"Hi Light." Charli answered.

~"What's up?"

-"Nothing, that's why I came here, I'm bored."

~"I mean..dinner is in 2 hours, so we have to wait.."

-"Yeah...who do you think I should check up on..?"

~"I dunno..maybe Jade or Alex."

-"That's if they haven't drifted off to sleep.."

~"Yeah but on the bright side we get to wake them up later."

-"Oh! I almost forgot to ask you, what are you doing right now..?

~"Just checking instagram..why?"

-"N-no reason.." Charli looks to her lower right, blushing ever so small.

~"I might take a shower after dinner though.."

-"Okay!"

Charli goes into each of the girl's rooms and knocks one their door. With no reply, she comes back.

-"I-I think they fell asleep..." Charli says

~"Half of the house's asleep Charli.." I said shaking my head.

-"Can I stay with you until they wake up?!" Charli exclaimed quietly.

Charli's eyes lit up like the night sky, she seemed hopeful I would say yes......

'Light: W- I- Eh-

'Charli: THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!!!!

'Light: I- quiet down Charli...others are sleeping..

'Charli: *Whispering* Okay.
