The days came and went like the cool passing wind. Sunrise, sunset, no sign of Zephyr. Had he bothered to contact me or at least even have the courtesy inform me that he is preoccupied? No! He hadn’t.

One more day and it will be almost a whole month since the last time I had any contact with Zephyr.

After our conflict or dispute so to say, Zephyr had managed to do an excellent job at retracting himself from me, completely. He vanished from my life without a trace as though a ghost shadow in a dark forest.

My life on the other hand, had been gradually improving. I knew I had to fill his absence and presence when he left. I knew this day would come. I should have been the one to pull back before getting too emotionally involved in this unnamed relationship we shared. But, no! I just have to learn it the hard way, through drastic circumstances and measures. While he on the other hand is the crowning glory of being oblivious to matters at hand.

The first week of my abandonment, was much more difficult on me than I had expected it to be. The force of attraction towards Zephyr with such little contact itself had grown so powerful, if we ever manage to close the spaces between us later on, I can't even imagine what would happen.

His presence was always expected by me therefore to keep myself occupied, I had started following Georgyana to help her grocery shop. Convincing her to having had me accompany her itself was a much tougher task than actually stepping foot out of this mansion after what seemed like ages. I had started to think about all the little detailed actions that I would have to do, the certain way that I was to act in public and how to deal with a certain situation.

Instead of feeling confident which was why I has actually started to think those things out, I became even more anxious. My uttermost fear was bumping into someone I was familiar with. Be it family, friends, relatives or acquaintances, I would have to face being bombarded with questions. Blood is thicker than water, yes it definitely is. But when you encounter someone who does not exactly understand and in favour this concept, it can be very dangerous; for water is able to quench your thirst and provide oxygen to our organs whereas blood can be deathly and toxic Blood simply makes you related, it takes years of trust and loyalty to deem someone as family.

On our first trip out to the grocery store, I felt as though I was a Dracula being exposed to the brightest of the days as the sunshine rays seep into my skin and gradually burnt down into ash. Once I started doing domestic chores, it all seemed normal again. Note to self, never let anything get to your head.

The following week, Georgyana had woken up earlier than usual one morning, way before daylight. She caught the sight of Zephyr rushing to leave home to attend work or so she assumed at half past five in the morning. I questioned her on why she thought he was off to work at such odd hours in the morning. She said it was because of the way he was dressed. Despite her strong believe and faith towards him, I couldn't help but doubt him. After all, what solid grounds did he give me to stand on that I should be leaning on taking his side?

The next morning, Georgyana deliberately woke up early to speak with Zephyr. She cooked him breakfast in return for a few words with him. According to Georgy, he was hesitant to stay for breakfast but he could not resist a good home cooked meal after seeing the food that she had laid out. He ate hurriedly saying he didn't want to arrive at work before his father did. He also said that work had been hectic as he and his father have taken up a new and massively large scaled contract.

When Georgy was narrating this entire story to me, she probably could have sensed my disapproval therefore she decided to point out the little details. Such as the purplish dark circles that had formed under his eyes and his unconcern to shave. She did mention that he had becoming buffer than usual which apparently is Zephyr's way to vent out when he is overly stressed. He likes to aggressively exercise when things are too much to handle.
