"Hey, Leonel, are my eyes playing a trick on me, or is Natalie really laughing and having fun with smarty-pants?"
I shook my head, amused. "No, my friend. She is having fun with Alexandria Joshen." I put an arm on his shoulders. "Told ya. She's nice. Just talk to her. Every thing would be fine."
Armand looked at me nervously. "Are you sure? I don't want to be pinned to the wall by her daggers."
I laughed. "Armand, she has a katana, a sai, and a whip. So I think you should worry about those, too."
He glared at me. "Now, you're just making things worse."
"Shut it. Do you want to talk to her or not?"
"Of course I do! I'm just worried of-"
"NATALIE!" I shouted. She still was laughing with her newfound friend. The side of my mouth twitched. Sorry Natalie, you asked for this. "NATALIE COLLEEN!!!" Her second name always seemed to get her attention. I don't even know why. But luckily, she doesn't get pissed off by it. I like calling her that. I dunno, maybe it's because the name Colleen seems nice?
Her head snapped to my direction, her eyebrow raised, as if saying, 'what do you want?". I gestured for her to come here and she nodded. She said something to Joshen, but the girl refused. I shook my head in amusement when she dragged her friend here. This girl just can't seem to understand the word 'no'.
When they reached us, she said, "Whatever happened that needed my second name to be called?" And crossed her arms. Her left eyebrow was raised, part of her irritated act. I snorted. Of course, I know she's pretending. She'd done that a lot of times as a joke. She was always amused by it, but I can't think of why. I never got her humor.
She then grinned and put her hands down, shaking her head in mock-disappointment. "You really know me, huh," she faced me, with a bright smile on her face. I could swear that Armand sucked in a breath. I couldn't blame him though. Natalie is pretty. Probably the prettiest in the whole school. If I'd have a say, she's actually the most beautiful girl I've ever met in my whole life. She was way prettier than the school's queen bee, Isabelle Grille. Yeah I know, her last name's funny, but you wouldn't want to laugh at her, unless you want your head ripped out. Believe it or not, she was unbelievably morbid.
"So, what's the catch?" She asked, successfully snapping me out of my chain of thoughts. I could almost swear I felt myself blush in embarrassment. My God, l was thankful that she couldn't read my thoughts. Or else she would immediately know that I have a crush on her. That wouldn't be so good. Other than the fact that she would get an ego boost and would tease me for it, there was also the possibility of the things between us being awkward. And we wouldn't want that, now, would we?
I scratched the back of my head and pointed my index finger at Armand. "Uh, he wants to talk to, er, um, you. Cause uh, uhm... Uh-"
I was cut off by Natalie throwing her right hand up in the air. "Gee, Leon," I involuntarily tensed up at the way she said my name. Damn it, Leonel Cipher, snap out of it! Urgh! "It would really help a lot if you didn't stutter."
"Uhh... Armand here wants to talk to you." I don't know if I should feel relieved or embarrassed that I still had to stutter before saying what I just said.
Her smile turned into a grimace. "Why?"
I could tell that she was anxious about this. She never really liked talking to guys except me ever since what happened with Clark. He continued on picking on her, but was careful not to hit a nerve, Clark knew very well that Natalie wouldn't hesitate to throw a dagger at his face. I don't have any complaints though. The guy was an asshole to everyone.
