I and Sid looked at each other, shocked. What if Sid doesn't want to be a father to Sana? What if he doesn't love me? That's when he smiled widely, answering all my questions. I went to kitchen after giving Sana to him, and returned with her food. Sid made her sit in her small seat as I sat down in front of her, feeding her. Just then, my phone rang.
Avu: Mera phone toh mai kitchen mein hi bhul gayi thi, counter par. [I forgot my phone in kitchen, on the counter.]
Sid: Mai leke aata hu, tu Sana ko khila. [I'll get it, you feed Sana.]
I nodded and he got the phone. It was Vaishu di's video call.
Avu: Hello di.
Vaish: Hello Avu.
Avu: Di, Sana ne kuch der pehle apne first word kaha... maa. [Di, Sana said her first word few minutes back... maa.]

Sana was done so I wiped her mouth before picking her up, but looks like she wants to go to Sid now.
Sana: Papa.
Sid took her in his hands. I took the her water sipper before making her drink, making me stand very close to Sid as she was in his arms. He was looking at me as I made her drink water. Once done, I was about to go back, but when I looked at him, I was lost in his eyes. Our eye lock was broken by Vaishu di's voice.
Vaish: Hello? Hello? Kaha gaye? Net band ho gaya kya? [Hello? Hello? Where did you both go? Is there any network issue?]
Avu: Di, idhar hi hai. [Di, we are here only.]
I took the phone from Sid's hand, which was facing the wall behind me.
Vaish: Sana papa kyu bol rahi thi? [Why was Sana saying papa?]
Avu: Sana Sid ko papa bulane lag gayi hai. [Sana calls Sid papa.]

She said squealing. Now Vaishvik was giggling looking at his mother.
Abhi: Congrats, par Sid, papa? [Congrats, but Sid, dad?]
Sid: Dada, hume bhi nahi pata use kaha se suja, par hum sab mein se kisi ko nahi hai problem. [Dada, we don't know where she got the idea from, but none of us have problem.]
Abhi: Yeh toh achi baat hai. Mai maa ko bulata hu, wo sabse zyada khush hogi. Dadi toh ban hi gayi, ab toh unki pothi ne pehle shabd bhi bol liye. MAAA [That's good. I'll call maa, she'll be the happiest. She is already a grandmother, now her grand daughter said her first word also. MOMMM]
Mum came there and smiled looking at us.
Avu: Mum, Sana ne mujhe maa aur Sid ko papa kaha. [Mum, Sana called me mom and Sid dad.]
I said excitedly, and she looked so happy.
Vibha: Ye toh bahut achi baat hai, congrats. Waise, mere bade bete se pehle chote bete ke bacho ki khabare mil rahi hai. [That's really nice, congrats. Btw, my younger son is giving news before the elder one.]

All of us laughed. Mum's niece is now her grand daughter.
Vibha: Mai ab jaati hu. Bye. [I'll go now, bye.]

Sidneet: Bye.
Sana just shook her hands.
Avu: Oh little fighter, bas kar. [Oh little fighter, enough.]
Sid: Little fighter?
Avu: Ha, isko jab bhi pillow wall mein lita kar jati hu, saare takye punch kar karke gira deti hai, aur shanti se nahi tikti hai do minute bhi. [Yes, whenever I make her lie down in pillow wall, she punches all the pillows making them fall down and can't stay in peace for even two minutes.]
Sid: Waah. Waise hospital ka kaise handle kar rahi hai? [Waah. Btw how are you handling the hospital work?]
Avu: Wo Mr. Rao, waha ke incharge, se baat kar chuki hu mai ki kuch personal issues ki wajah se mai hospital nahi ja paungi, toh sirf emergency hogi toh wo mujhe bulayege. Mere alawa do jan mere field ke specialist hai, toh zyada problem nahi hoti hai. [I've said Mr. Rao, the in charge there, that due to some personal issues I won't be able to go to hospital, so he'll call me only in emergencies. There are two more specialists of my field, so there isn't much problem.]
Sid: Oh. Sana toh so gayi, isko crib mein sula du? [Oh. Sana is asleep, shall I make her sleep in crib?]
Avu: Isko bistar pe hi sulana hai. Uthne ke baad agar crib mein hoti hai toh rone lagti hai ya phir nikalne ki koshish karti rehti hai. [We have to make her sleep on bed only. On waking if she is in crib she starts crying or keeps trying to come out of it.]
He chuckled before laying her on my bed. After tucking her in and keeping pillows around her, which will be of no use once she wakes up, I sat on the corner of the bed while Sid jumped onto the study table.
Avu: Aaj police station mein kaam nahi hai kya? [Isn't there work at police station today?]
Sid: Na, luckily abhi koyi bada case nahi hai. Jai aur Reem bhi aaj chuti par hai. [No, luckily there isn't any big case now. Even Jaireem are at holiday.]
Avu: Acha, tujhe Jai ki crush pata chali kya? Wo mujhe bata hi nahi raha. Mujhe doubt hai ek par sure nahi hu. [Ohk, did you find Jai's crush? He isn't telling me only. I have a doubt but not sure.]
Sid: Wo kisiko nahi bata raha, par mujhe aisa lagta hai ki Reem hai wo ladki. Jai ka pata nahi, Reem zarur Jai se pyaar karti hai. [He isn't saying anyone, but I think it's Reem. I don't know about Jai but Reem loves Jai.]
Avu: Mujhe bhi. Tujhe kaise pata Reem Jai se pyaar karti hai? [Even me. How do you know Reem loves Jai?]
Sid: Apne bhai se kyu secrets rakhegi wo, usne khud bataya mujhe. Ab bas Jai hume bata de ya propose karde. Reem to karne se rahi. [Why would she hide it from her brother, she herself said me. Now Jai has to say us or propose her. Reem won't propose.]
