It was raining outside. And raining pretty bad. It didn't start til yesterday. So the forecast had a change. Pico was sitting at his desk in his room. His legs kicked up onto it and just reading a book. He wasn't one to read, but ever since he's been going out with Keith, he had a change of heart to get school work over with. So he did it from time to time. Just not in front of Keith of course. He was a smart person, just didn't like working is all. He was getting tired of this shit. So he closed the book and threw it back into his bed. Watching the rain. It was sort of relaxing. But before he could even blink, his vision got blurry. "What the.." He noticed.. it was wet. His face was wet. Are these.. tears? Why is he crying? "Damn." Is all he said. Honestly, school, his music career, his parents, the nightmares he's been having lately, his relationship, it was just so.. fucking stressful. Maybe his mind didn't want to cry, but his body said otherwise. He didn't want to give in, but soon enough. He just put his head down into his arms as tears flowed. Dropping onto his desk just how the rain dropped onto his window. He cried.

Keith on the other hand has been calling and calling his phone. "Why the hell isn't he picking up?!" He asked. Maybe it was dead? Nah, Pico's always on his phone. He would've made sure it was charged. Was he ignoring him? Keith didn't know what was up, but he was getting frustrated. It was raining hard as hell. And today was their day to spend time with each other. The least he could've did was answer the phone! Keith made the decision to go over to his house. Even in the rain. It wasn't too far, but he needed him to open the gate. So he grabbed a coat, his umbrella, and began getting over to him. The rain was a pleasant sight, but not when you're running in it. He finally got to his place, glaring at the gate. He jumped up onto it, holding the rail with one hand and the umbrella in the other. He basically jumped over it. Making sure no one was looking of course. Once he was on the other side, he looked around. Seeing no one in sight as he continued to run up to his place.

Keith had a spare key Pico gave to him a while back. Once Keith finally got up to the door, he unlocked it and basically slammed it open. He was slightly pissed. They always hung out on Fridays. Spending time with each other, maybe movies, ice cream, he didn't care. He felt like something was off. But he didn't know what it was. He took off his wet shoes and stormed up to Pico's room. "Pico I swear why the hell aren't you answering my-!" When Keith opened the door, the sight he saw was.. surprising. So surprising he forgot he was even mad anymore.

Pico was sitting with his head down. But heard the door open and the yelling of someone. Pico quickly turned around, the two of them making eye contact. Pico was hella confused on why Keith was here all angry. Oh shit- that's when he remembered what day it was. Pico quickly turned around, also remembering he was just sobbing a few minutes ago. He started wiping his tears with his sleeve.

"Pico..?" Keith asked. "Don't even say it. It's my fault, I forgot today was Friday and I-" "No that's not what I'm talking about." Keith walked over to him, Pico slightly turning in his chair to hide his face. He didn't need Keith asking him about what happened and worrying about it. "It's nothing okay. Sad movie." What a bullshit excuse. "You don't even flinch at horror movies." Keith said, knowing good and well what an obvious lie that was. "What happened?" "I'm telling you nothing happened alright? Drop it." Keith gave a glare at him. Walking closer to him and grabbing him by the sides of his face to force him to look up. He saw the puffiness in his eyes. He saw the tear marks. He saw the sadness expression. Keith couldn't help but feel his heart ache for the other. Pico moved his hands away and looked back down. "..." He didn't say a word. He wasn't sure how to explain it to him.

"Who did it? Tell me what happened Pico." Pico observed Keith's appearance. He was partially wet. and even had a rip near his knee on his pants. "Did you run all the way here?" Pico asked. He remembered the gate. Did he seriously jump it? "That doesn't matter. I'm asking about you. Why were you crying?" "Nobody was crying. Even if I was, is that so wrong? Why can't I cry??" Keith gave him a confused look. "Who said you couldn't?!" "Everyone. EVERYONE." Pico raised his voice and stood up. Keith was looking a bit worried. Maybe a little afraid. Pico realized what was happening and sat back down. "Sorry. I didn't mean to."

Keith examined him from where he stood. Pico had such a tired look on his face. He must've been crying way before he even got here. He glanced at the books on his bed. They were textbooks weren't they? Keith slowly began to understand. He took off his coat, and threw down the umbrella. He even took off his slightly damped hat. He walked up behind Pico's chair and quietly wrapped his arms around him. He felt how cold he was. Keith couldn't help but feel.. sorrow for him.

Pico only sat there. He felt like he was being babied. He didn't need anyone's pity. "I don't need any hugs. I keep telling you I'm fine-" "Shut up." Keith silenced him. Pico tried to move from his grasp, but Keith held onto him tighter. He kept his arms there, even buried his face into the side of his neck. "I'm here you know." Keith reminded him. "You aren't alone anymore. I'm here and I always will be. So.." He gripped Pico's shirt. "Just tell me.." Pico stopped and stood still. His heart beat within his chest as the tears started to proceed once more. They were little streams of tears. He got up from his chair and turned around completely. Grabbing hold of Keith more clearly and hugging onto him. Keith happily accepted his embrace.

Pico whispered, "Is it really alright to cry?" Keith onto gave a few short laughs before saying, "Of course it is." Pico's light streams turned into mini oceans. He didn't cry too loudly, but Keith knew he was holding back a lot of pain and frustration. So he let him cry ad much as he wanted to. He held onto him, Keeping him in the hug. Keith was willing to stay like this til he let his bottled emotions flow out. He smiled, knowing that he was trusted was more than enough to him.

About a minute or so later, Pico calmed down. He was feeling better than before, a bit more relaxed and refreshed. Everybody needs a little cry once in a while. Keith saw Pico to being one of the strongest people he's known. He never noticed how much he was hurting til Pico opened up to him. Suddenly Pico held onto his waist and moving toward the bed. They fell onto it near where the books were piled. "Pico what are you-" "Just let me lay here for a little." Keith nodded. The two laid with each other. Keith cuddling up with him. The rain was still pouring outside. Giving the atmosphere a calming tone to it. Soon, Pico eventually fell asleep into Keith's arms. Keith gave him a kiss and kept him there. It wasn't long before Keith also fell asleep with him.

Later, the two were sitting on the bed, Pico having his back up against the wall with Keith sitting in front of him in his lap. It was some time after they woke up. Pico took a sip of water as Keith was talking with him. "So it all just caught up to you?" "Pretty much." Pico said. He seemed a lot more calmer than usual. He'd be teasing him or being sarcastic about something right about now. It was sort of cute to see this side of him. "I'm sorry." Pico looked at him confused. "Why?" "Because I never noticed anything. I should've talked to you sooner." Pico chuckled a bit. "It's not your fault, it's mine. I'll try opening up to you more often." Keith was happy about that. Then Pico suddenly put an arm up to his neck and held him back. "But don't you go thinking I'll tell you every little secret I have. Some things you gotta find out on your own." He said with a light smirk. Keith laughed and held onto his arm. "Yea yea, whatever, let me go!" He said in a playful manner. "You thought seeing me all sad was gonna change the fact I hold the wraps around here?" He was basically teasing him at this point. "No! I never said that!" Pico gave a grin and let him go. Leaning back with his hands behind his head. "Good."

Keith laughed and picked up the books. "What were you doing with these?" Pico opened and eye and closed it again. "Work." Keith's eyes widened. Pico opened his and squinted. "Don't look at me like that, I'm not completely stupid." Keith shrugged and shook his head. "That's not it, I'm just surprised you were doing it is all." He looked at the books one by one. "Why were you working anyway?" "What am I not allowed to?" Keith secretly already knew the reason, he just wanted to hear Pico actually admit it. Pico sighed, "You.." Keith turned and gave a 'hm?' sound. Meaning he didn't hear that. "Because of you. You helped me with it so the least I could've did was some of it." Keith gave him a smile. "Yeah, I know." Pico raised a brow. So he was teasing huh? "Who are you smiling at?" "It's nothing." Keith was just happy to be spending time with him. Like before, he didn't care if it was the movies, ice cream, or even just chatting with him while it rained. Pico also liked having someone around. He's been lonely for most of his life. It was nice to have a shoulder to cry on. A person to talk to. The two were just happy they found one another.
