I laughed, "So wait where is he?"
Rakim pointed towards the sparsely populated part of the student section, "You know he ain't that hard to spot." I nodded my head, and began to walk over towards the stands.
"Ayo, Carti!" Rakim shouted as I walked off. I turned around to face towards him. "I wish you the best of luck, playboy, and even if he doesn't wanna be with you, we still definitely gonna be friends."
I slightly blushed, and thanked him while walking into the densely populated student section.
Lithia Springs didn't have enough fundraising money from either the county or the community to put on an actual homecoming dance, so everyone treated this as a special night. They all dressed nicer than the would at school, but with different twists.
Whereas the rich white kids would get limousines and tuxedos for homecoming, Lithia Springs students tonight showed up in drippy-ass shit like with Louis Vuitton bags and $350 shoes; they showed up to the game in donks (if you don't know what these are, y'all damn better look them up😭), and they all seemed to get along with one another for once.
We were playing Marietta Central High School, the high school that covered the entire city of Marietta, which was just to the north of us. They were better off than us, but definitely not the best off out there. However, the students who came to watch were some real preppy looking motherfuckers.
I ventured through the student section, looking for my favorite person with purple dreads, and in literally less than a minute, I found him. He was sitting near the top of the bleachers, with Montero sitting closely next to Symere on one side, and Nayvadius on the other side. Summer was sitting next to Nayvadius near Billie and Nicki. Symere jumped up as soon as he saw me and started waving excitedly. I couldn't help but smile to see the pure little Symere happy as could be to see me.
I walked up to the group, whom most of greeted me with excitement. I sat down on the empty spot next to Symere, who happily gave me a tight hug.
"Hiiiiiii Jordannnnnnn." he said while hugging me. I hugged him back, "Heyyyyyy Syyyyyyyy."
Montero looked over at us, and I waved and said, "Hey Monty." Montero smiled and waved back. Symere released his grip on me and returned to Montero's side. He was wearing this adorable little sweatshirt with a graphic from the anime Akira on the front, these white Adidas sweatpants that shaped his legs really well, with Vans shoes and a silver chain. He looked really cute, and I wanted to tell him, but now wasn't the right time.
The game started, and Symere clung tightly to Montero throughout the first half. Sheyaa sent me a message towards the end of the first quarter asking if I was at the game. I told him that I was taking his advice and trying to get with Symere at the game, to which he approved of and commanded me to let him know how things went.
During the second quarter, I got up to use the restroom and grab a Coca-Cola during a rather slow part of the game. I returned to the stands with almost 3 minutes left until halftime and Lithia Springs over Marietta Central by 8 points. Symere had released his near constant grip on Montero sometime while I was in the bathroom, and had his hand on my seat when I came back.
I looked at him, confused. Symere smiled, "I was saving your seat."
I smiled back, ruffling his dreads and making him laugh as a result. "Ayeeeeee, Jordyyy, don't mess with my muhfuckin' hairrrrrr." Symere laughed, which only caused me to mess with it more.
