Chapter three

May stared at the paper her eyes glistening with tears but she held them in she knew she couldn't cry not right now.

Coulson looked at it and pulled her into a hug May was overjoyed after 25 long years she had found her baby.....her beautiful baby girl

"She's home" May whispered to Coulson "she's finally home..but I couldn't be there for her when she went through that awful time" May shook her head

I watched as the shared the hug and narrowed my eyes wondering what was wrong.

"It's not your fault she was taken from you" Coulson told her

"For a reason that actually has a good point can I be trusted? What if she knows and thinks I'm a horrible person!"

"She won't I can promise you she'll listen" Skye said to her as she walked past.

"What's she like?" May asked

"Once you break through her walls and there's a lot of them she's the warmest person I know she loves affection and baking. She'll pull away at first the best thing to do is keep at her if she tells you to leave her alone push harder it shows you actually want her trust she loves horror movies and she's an archer" Skye told her

Zara nudged me and we began talking.

Then we set off and soon enough we found Lincoln and brought him back to the base. I healed him with my voice and left him to sleep.

I walked out to Skye and Zara talking

"Hey what's the topic of conversation today?" I smiled

The three of us were talking and laughing and the team walked into the room to the sight of the three of us slightly tipsy and whenever we looked at each other we burst into laughter.

"Oh my god who wants to hear funny stories about our dear Nova" Skye and Zara joked

"I do" the team said

"Okay so when Nova was sixteen she was the most wanted girl in all of afterlife every boy wanted to date her" Zara started as the team sat around us

"A shy quiet boy who had just come to afterlife walked up to her and Nova having a I'm so confident attitude was sick of all these boys. So he walks up to her trying to make a friend and she turns to him full on angry flips him over her shoulder and says 'fuck off I don't want to date you'" Zara laughs

"And she didn't realise he was gay" Zara laughs even harder and the team chuckled

"Yeah pick on the orphan guys" I said with a smile

"When he told her the face she had was priceless she looked like she was hit by a bus"

"Okay that's enough" I said going to shut her up but she carried on speaking.

"Zara" I said using my power her eyes glazed over "shut up and make me a sandwich please"

Zara in the brainwashed state nodded and stood to go do what she had asked

"And that is why I love my gift" I smiled as me and Skye laughed at the sight of Zara making a sand which. She gave it to me and I laughed again

May was staring at me again so I awkwardly cleared my throat and looked at her she noticed my awkwardness and averted her gaze.

"Skye I'm going to go check on Lincoln" I said putting my drink down and leaving the room as fast as I could.

I knew the conversations and I didn't know if the paper had confirmed it as she didn't show me. I checked on Lincoln.
