As always I wake up for school, school starts way too early and it's always been annoyingly hard to get up in the morning. As I struggled to get up and get dressed, I looked at myself in the mirror.
Red "Here we go again, another day full of lies. A normal life is out of my reach, how long do I intend to keep suffering for?"
I made my way out and walked to school changing my act so my friends at school wouldn't know how bad it was for me. As I was trying to stay awake I didn't notice one of my friends, Aaron, was trying to call out to me.
Aaron "Hey buddy how's it going!"
I looked at him in annoyance as I covered my ear.
Red "Dude not so loud idiot, it's six in the morning."
Aaron "Long morning I see. Sheesh, sorry. But hey I heard that they’re gonna up the time when we go to school from seven o’clock to nine."
Red "Wait, when was this announced? Does this mean I can actually get some sleep now?!"
Aaron looked at me, trying to hold in his laughter, but couldn't contain it.
Aaron "HA, you're too easy to fool!"
He laughed as I got irritated as I knew it was bullshit.
Red "Aaron..."
He was laughing so hard that he could barely calm down enough to say something.
Aaron "Ah man I'm sorry but that was too funny."
Red "you have five seconds to run, if I catch you I will beat the hell outta you"
Aaron "Come on, you must be joking right?"
Red "Five, Four…"
As soon as I started to count down he rushed off and I chased after him. We managed to get to school a lot earlier than we’d ever been.
Aaron "Huh, I guess that chase was worth it. We got to school pretty quick, right buddy?!"
Red "Yeah, well you can't take all the credit. Ugh I'm tired, I'm going to get a drink of water. I'll be back."
I tiredly walked to the water fountain and I overheard two people talking about me behind my back.
Student one "Damn, he looks worn down."
Student two "Not only that but he also looks like he has been through hell and back."
I walked off in a hurry then I went back to Aaron.
Aaron "Hey Red that was fast!"
Red "Yeah, I ran back so I could meet the others here."
Aaron "Oh to meet the others you mean…"
Red "Well I guess I came just in time."
I pointed at two people that were walking towards us.
Red "Hey look who's here."
Aaron “Huh?"
Two girls came walking towards us, they were the two other people that I'm friends with, Alice and Rose.
Rose "Hey guys! We managed to make it here early!"
Alice "Well only because you dragged me out of my house in such a hurry."
Rose “WHAT, no!"
Alice "And it's because you couldn't wait to get here to you're lo…"
Rose "Shh don't say that out loud."
She whispered something in Alice's ear quiet enough so me and Aaron couldn’t hear.
Red "Anyways, seems like you two had an interesting morning so far."
Alice "You have no idea"
I chuckled as I was still tired from waking up so early.
Aaron "Hey Rose, how are you doing?"
Rose "Oh I'm doing pretty good. I’ve got a lot of work from last week though."
Aaron "Well if you need some help with it I could probably give you a hand if you want."
Rose "Really, could you? I have a lot and I can't get it done on time."
Aaron "Yeah of course, I'll help you out any time."
Rose "That's sweet of you, thanks."
While they were talking I noticed that something was troubling Alice.
Red "Hey Alice, you alright?"
Alice "Uh, oh, no I'm ok, just a long morning.
Red "Well right, if you wanna talk I'll listen."(Something seems off this morning, then again every morning is weird like this…)
Alice "Ok thanks."
After that we all went to class. The day was long and boring as normal. I just wanted to go home and sleep.
I was in my last period for the day, I needed to use the restroom, and when the teacher wasn't looking, I left. When I was in the bathroom, two other guys were with me. I heard them arguing, then I heard a scream and they started to fight. Just hearing the commotion made me remember when I was in elementary school.
Red "GET THE HELL OFF ME!"
Bully one "Get him to the ground boys."
Bully two "You don't get to run this time you freak."
Bully three "Alright bitch I hope you can take a beating."
With three broken ribs, a broken arm and a fractured leg I think I got off easy this time.
