Avengers Shattered

Ch. 11 "Hidden"

                                                          Kayden POV 

I was currently walking down the street with the hood of my hoodie over my head, the sun was shining but it was cold so it wasn't suspicious, 

I had my book bag on my back, it wasn't filled with school books, no it was necessities, my outfit for the night shift, money, clothes, food, 

Why you wonder? well when Steve dropped me off this morning lets just say Jerry was less than appreciative at me coming through the door at 4AM, 

He beat the living daylights out of me, so badly that I lost conciseness a few times, 

So lets just say I'm done, I'm done with him, done with the freaking avengers, done with everything, 

I am currently in Brooklyn, I walk into the office at a crappy motel, sure I have the money for something better, but I don't want to draw attention to myself, 

"I want a room," I said 

"that would be 80 dollars," He said 

I nodded handing him the money,

He handed me the key card, and I walked out, 

This is for the best, I don't need him, I don't need anybody, I'm better off on my own, I thought 

I opened the door and set my back pack on the floor slamming the door, 

I walked in the bathroom taking the hood off showing the fresh bruises the blood the cuts, 

I lift my shirt showing the bruises and open skin, 

I walked out laying on the bed, 

Maybe I can get some sleep for once in my life, I thought feeling my eyelids flutter shut, 

                                              Bucky POV 

We waited outside of the school Kayden told Steve to meet her at, watching all the kids walking out, some joking and smiling, 

Others looked miserable, 

the crowd started getting thiner and thiner, until no one was around, 

I looked at Steve, 

"Are you sure this is the place she said?" I asked as I was leaning against the car with my arms crossed, 

"Yes, see I even wrote it down," He said 

"Then where the hell is she?" I asked 

"Language and how am I supposed to know?" Steve said 

I just rolled my eyes, 

"Well I guess we've got to track her down, since she's not here," I said annoyed, 

Steve nodded 

We got back into the car and made our way to the tower, 

Tony and the others looked at us, 

"Weren't you supposed to bring someone back with you, dark brown hair blue eyes, ring any bells?" Tony said 

"Don't start," I grumbled 

"What happened?" Nat asked 

"She wasn't at the school," Steve said 

"That's weird," Tony said 

"Maybe she's running," Clint said 

"Doesn't  seem her style," I said 

"Then what could have happened?" Steve said 

"That's the million dollar question," Nat said 

"So what now?" Clint said 

"We track her down," I said determined 

Everyone nodded 

                                           Kayden POV 

When I woke up It was dark, I slowly stood up, stretching my arms above my head, I peeked out the certain and smirked, 

I got dressed as my other persona, 

and walked out of the Motel room, 

I was on top of a very high roof, 

Looking at the city lights, 

That's when I heard a high pitched scream, I smirked, 

"Time to go to work," I said 

I jumped sliding down the edge of the building, sure I had some minor injuries, but fighting, it's a thrill I just can't pass up, like being inside of the fighting cage, I just bask in it and I wouldn't change that for anything ever, 

I come across some goons surrounding a woman who was on a nightly jog,

"Run," I said to her, 

She did as she was told, 

"Who the hell are you?!" The man said 

"They call me the soldier," I said in a dark voice as I smirked
