His breath was hot and steamy on my face. I couldn't bear to look into his emerald eyes, glittering with mischief. I was afraid I would fall into them, be caught in a current and swept away from shore. He loomed over me, and the darkness swirled around the empty corridor like tendrils of snake. The moonlight was bright, only a few grey clouds were obscuring it, the light penetrated them easily. Long pillars held the marble roof up and the space between them were filled with lush bush. Prince Loki remained in front of me. I refused to look at him. Refused to look at his flawless face, ghostly pale and handsome. I felt him move closer to me. The gap between us was closing in. But oh! How I wanted to feel his skin against mine. No. Vulnerability is weak. I had a reputation to protect, and it was unlawful; such sinful acts. Especially from him.... but I couldn't resist.
