11. Affectionate Stares

Jiang Mosheng's eyes were fixed on Yu Jinli who almost lay on his body. He didn't know for sure but he felt a surge of strange power flowing through his body the moment that young man touched him.
Because his body was weak, he became more sensitive to exterior power.

Probably also because he was too weak so that he wasn't even able to defend himself against that power.
Usually, he wouldn't let others guide their power through his body since that would cause serious problems.

When a person guides his power through the body of another, he can destroy that person easily.

However, Jiang Mosheng didn't detect any malice in that power which seemed to flow through him for fun and disappeared.

The two stared at each other "affectionately" for a good while. In the end, Yu Jinli left Jiang Mosheng's body.
Qiao Mulan let out a sigh of relief. She was happy to see that her son didn't show any disgust or dislike against that intimacy.

Still, Yu Jinli didn't sense any aura of spirit beast on Jiang Mosheng so he wasn't sure if Jiang Mosheng was the same as him.
Perhaps, Jiang Mosheng didn't show any sign of a spirit beast since his inner core was broken. No matter what, Yu Jinli wanted to help him fix his inner core, though the process might be very arduous.
However, Yu Jinli didn't say that out loud since he was different from humans.

If his golden coattail was indeed a spirit beast, it would only mean he was going to have a better life here. After all, the family his golden coattail "transmigrated" into seemed very powerful.

"Li-er, lunch is ready. Let's go downstairs and have some food then come back to Ah Sheng." Qiao Mulan spoke to Yu Jinli amiably.

"All right." The moment Yu Jinli heard of food, his eyes were lit up. He even forgot all about figuring out Jiang Mosheng's mysterious identity which spoke loudly for the charm of food.
Now, Qiao Mulan loved Yu Jinli even more for how cute he was.

Jiang Mosheng stared on helplessly as his mom left with the young man without even looking at him which was a surprise.
Usually, every time his mom was here, she put all her attention on him. Sometimes she even choked with sobs when his dad needed to comfort her before she would leave.

However, this time, she didn't even look at him before she left.
Jiang Mosheng suddenly had a feeling that her true-born son returned and he himself was an adopted kid.

Jiang Mosheng shook his head self-mockingly. It had been a long time since he saw his mom smile. Ever since after his incident, his mom had bathed her face in tears. Now that she could smile so happily, he should thank that young man for it.

Yu Jinli, the young man who was held with gratitude by Jiang Mosheng, was now sitting in front of a table, waiting joyfully for the food in this world. He wondered if it would be more delicious than that of the earth.

"Bring the food up." Seeing Yu Jinli was dying to eat, Jiang Zhentao told the servants smilingly.

The servants brought a dish after another. However, Yu Jinli's smile froze after he saw what was in the plates.
