"Darling it's so good to see ya! Who's your friend?" The flamboyant penguin asked looking at you.
You just completely froze not knowing what to do since you shouldn't answer that yourself, but your best friend hat kid answered.
"Oh! That's (Y/N)! I know how you and Conductor always fight over me for your movies so I decided to bring in a friend to fill one of the slots!" She commented gleefully stepping to the side so he could get a better look at you. You kinda just stood there looking everywhere but him because honestly he was quite intimidating despite his bashful personality.
"Oh! (Y/N) Darling I've heard so much about you! All good of course!" He added getting a small chuckle out of you.
"So I'm assuming you'll be working with me on MY set?" He exclaimed awaiting a response.
"Indeed I will be!" You commented excitedly and frankly a little loud, which caused you to back away from the penguin slightly as if to say sorry.
"Wonderful Darling! I absolutely LOVE your enthusiasm! Whelp let's get to working then!" He said overjoyed as he opened the door on the right of the entrance. You could already hear colorful and pop styled music coming from the studio so you walked in pridefully. And of course thanked Grooves for holding the door as you made your way in. Everything was so bright and expressive and you could see everything from a mile away. You were just in shock, it was like his imagination spilled all over the dance floor as it lit up in an array of colors. He chuckled glancing over at your stunned expression.
"So Darling, is it what you imagined it to be?" He asked jokingly.
"I-It's spectacular! I couldn't come up with something like THIS if I tried..." you broke off staring at the lit up floor beneath you.
"Well...let's not dilly dally! Cmon let's go introduce you to everyone!" He exclaimed happily and began to strut ahead.
You completely froze. You weren't an extrovert in anyway except creatively maybe. There was no way you'd be able to stay in a large group for very long before you'd start panicking for zone out and lose yourself! You slowly began to back up still with the elegant penguin in your sights as you stopped. He turned around dramatically to see you even farther from him which was quite puzzling; you could see that from his expression.
"Darling! You're going the wrong way! Everyone's over here, I'm sure they'd all be delighted to meet you after hearing so much from the little Darling!" He probably meant hat kid...god damnit. Why was she so happy and energetic?! She hyped you up to everyone and you KNOW they're going to be let down! You can't do this.
You backed up more before being met face to face with the DJ. You jumped back slightly, slipping back into your stance and looking away. Your eyes began to wander once again around the studio, it was just so unique and mesmerizing.
"Are you listening Darling?" DJ Grooves asked nonchalantly.
"Oh. Uh. Not exactly?" You pointed out finally making eye contact with the feminine bird.
"That's alright!" He said out of the blue.
You were generally shocked, it wasn't the exact exclamation you were expecting.
"Hey, look at me. You'll be alright no matter what happens, how many people are there, no matter anything." He said softly, slowly approaching you.
"I'll be there to help you through it all and I promise I'll let nothing bad happen to you." He said as he placed a flipper on your cheek causing you to relax slightly and push into his touch.
"Ok. I'll trust you this time, but I'm hoping you don't let me down." You said calmly, grabbing his hand and walking towards the group of penguins.
