"After you." Sirius opens the door for Tara and she steps in, letting her hair fall over her face. Tara slides in right next to Sienna and thanks Sirius softly,

"Thank you."

Sirius nods, shutting the door and going to sit in the front, giving Tara some time to bond with Sienna. Tara looks down, playing with her fingers as a way to distract herself,

"Great." She mutters and Sienna frowns,

How had her personality changed so quickly?

Tara gasps at how rude she was being and looks up to make eye contact with Sienna. She gulps as she cracks her knuckles,

"Hi." She waves, eyeing the pink bandana hanging loosely from her bag. Sienna seems to brighten physically and waves back,

" Hey, Tara. So I had heard from Sirius that you had just moved to Versailles. How are you liking it so far?" She asks lightly, noticing Tara's gaze on her purse. Tara lifts her gaze and shrugs her shoulders,

"It's super pretty like my brother said. But I haven't seen too much of the scenery since Sirius had never really shown me the monuments. Also, I've been pretty busy with homework as well." She mutters, diverting her attention back to the purse. Sienna tilts her head at this,

"I thought that uni had just started? How have you gotten so much homework already?" She questions, getting a heavy sigh from Tara,

"It's mainly a review. But the amount is crazy." Tara shivers thinking of the amount of Art History homework that she had gotten a couple of days ago.

"Do you like my bag?" Sienna finally decides to bring up the topic of her bag to Tara only to have a guilty look pass the smaller girl's face. Tara scrunches her face and gives a sheepish smile to Sienna,

"Sorry, It's just that it looks like it's gonna fall off and over here, bandanas seem to have some sort of emotional value." She apologizes and Sienna freezes,

How was she correct?

"Yup, something like that," Sienna mutters the last part underneath her breath and this time Tara couldn't hear what Sienna was saying.

As per Tara's predictions, the bandana fell to the ground gracefully, like a butterfly. Sienna curses and both women crouch down towards the bottom of the car, Tara's hands beating Sienna's. Tara smiles once again and signals for Sienna to scooch closer to her. Sienna does as she's told and feels Tara's hand underneath her ponytail, wrapping her bandana in a similar fashion as when Max had tied it for her.

Sienna's hands feel around the ponytail to feel that it's secured properly, only to find a golden bobby pin of sorts inserted into her bandana. She pulls it out and shows it to Tara,

"Is this yours?" She asks, getting a slight nod from Tara,

"Yes, I needed something to secure the bandana with." She mutters, brushing her hair behind her ear. Sienna notices the fact that her hair was falling in front of her face and mumbles,

"Wait, lemme just-" She starts her sentence, and her hand brushes against Tara's forehead lightly. Tara feels her whole body tense internally as Sienna inserts the bobby pin right above her left ear, Sienna's silver rings hitting the hot skin of Tara's ears.

Sienna pulls away and tilts her head,

"Perfect." She says, causing Tara to start blushing.

The car stops, pulling in front of a bright pink cafe, reminding Tara of Barbie. She grimaces at the amount of pink thrown around the cafe,

Yuck.

Whatever happened to contrast?

"Tara?" Somebody snaps her out of her trance and she looks up, making eye contact with Sirius. He motions for her to get out of the car and Tara shakes her head, feeling pretty foolish for getting lost in her thoughts.

"Sorry." She smiles, gaining a shake of the head from Sirius as he ushers her into the cafe.

Both Sirius and Tara felt out of place in the small cafe for many different reasons. But both of them knew that they were out of place costume-wise. Sienna, on the other hand, felt right at home,

After all, this was her territory.

And Sirius knew.

"Let's take a seat," Sirius mutters wanting to get this whole experience over with. Distracted by all the pink, Tara nods, absentmindedly following the both of them. She stops, feeling a bit uncomfortable,

"Um." She hesitates, looking at the pair with anxiety clearly shown in her eyes. Sienna panics internally,

Crap, didn't Min say that she liked jazz?

Well, here goes nothing.

Sienna gets out of the booth and moves over to the jukebox, looking through the cafe's impressive vinyl collection, finding one that she likes.

The audible scratch of the record being put on the player could be heard and Etta James's voice floats through the speaker. Sirius realizes what Sienna's doing and asks Tara again,

"Don't you wanna come in Tara?" He asks getting a nod from Tara as she slides into the booth, Sienna coming shortly afterward.

As Sienna and Sirius spoil the younger girl with French desserts, she doesn't notice the man in the corner with the camera.

The printer right next to the tea table whirls as it slowly prints out an image of sorts. Min was sick and tired of having to listen to Maurice yell about wanting to leave. He finally stops zoning out, hearing Atlas yell this time,

"-Are we going home!" Atlas yells at both Max and Cai. Both mafia leaders seem to be right at home, with Cai still petting the cat and Max eating pain au chocolat*. Atlas bangs the table and Min sighs while waiting for the slow-ass printer to finish printing,

Why hadn't he gotten to meet the girl?

He had met her first.

AND TAKEN THE FIRST PICTURE OF HER.

Finally, the printer finishes its process and he pulls the picture out and he nudges Cai with his shoulder.

"Done?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. Min nods, rubbing his hands together showing his excitement.

"POPPY." Maurice raises his voice, catching Cai's attention. But instead of blowing up, Cai just smiles widely sliding the paper towards the both of them. Both of them pale and Max crosses his legs, the slight sound of the cat purring in the background.

"Will you bring Tara to the ball?" Max asks, getting an immediate reply from Maurice,

"Expect a plus one."

I literally had a whole Barbie theme song playing in my head while I was writing the cafe scene.

Also, poor Min, he didn't get to see our precious Tara.

Have a great rest /start of your day!

TPWK!
