After a long day, Azriel found himself beside the training room door. His shadows wanted to be here and he felt it too, when he entered the room, Azriel found Emerie and Gwyn training together. Valkyries were strong—stronger than they were while The Blood Rite. When he remembered those days, when he and Cassian were looking for this three, all he felt was anger and fear at the same time. Those bastards did, gods know what to them— Azriel's eyes fixed on the young priestess. His shadows started singing, they danced with her as she moved faster and punched Emerie so hard that she stopped fighting, "I think that's enough." gasped Emerie. "You're okay?" asked Gwyn. "Yes, I'm fine. I'm just tired." Emery's eyes found Azriel's. "Okay, see you tomorrow," said Gwyn, she didn't see Azriel coming into the room. When she turned to the door, to see Emerie was gone or not, she noticed Shadowsinger in the corner of the room. "Forgot favorite dagger, again?" she asked. "No," he answered simply. Gwyn raised her eyebrows, "Then what are you doing here?" For the first time, Azriel didn't know what to answer. What was he doing here? He could feel his shadows singing again, they wanted to reach her. "If you want to be alone, I-i can go," Gwyn said quietly. "You're not bothering me. I'd like a company." Azriel said, his hand grabbed his Truth-teller, for a moment they stood in awkward silence. Gwyn studied him as if she will guess why he was here. Their eyes met, Azriel couched, "I- Do don't have to be in the library?""It's almost ten o'clock of the night. So it means no." she sighed, "How's the High Lady?" "Fine, thank the cauldron." Gwyn chuckled quietly. Azriel raised his single eyebrow and asked, "What's funny?" Gwyn chuckled again, "It's just— this conversation is getting too awkward, I think I should go." she put down her dagger and went to the door, after a second she went still. It took five seconds for Azriel to realize what happened: his shadows were dancing around Gwyn, touching her shoulders, her hands, her hair. "I'm sorry," apologized Azriel, he tried to stop them, again. But they liked- they liked her."They're lovely," she whispered, Azriel looked at her, confused, "Y-you think my shadows are 'lovely'?" She raised one finger, shadows curled around it, she smiled a bit, "They are." Azriel blinked once, twice. He slowly looked at her lips, but then quickly into her eyes. He took a step back, he could have sworn he saw her cheeks turning red. She opened the door and looked at him from her shoulder, "Good night, Shadowsinger." "Good night, Gwyneth," he answered quietly. He was still thinking about his shadows around her while he was going into his roo
