Chapter four

You start to wake up the next morning as the sun starts to shine on your face you turn over placing your face into the pillow as you let out a groan. You slowly pull yourself out of bed and stretch out as you let out a yawn. You start to look around the room knowing that you've had four hours sleep at the most. You look at the clothes that pepper had hung on the doorknob for you until you get your stuff or go home. You let out a small groan as you get out of bed walking towards the bathroom "I love you pepper but your style ain't right for me" you think as you take another look at the clothes and then shut the bathroom door. You turn on the shower as you start to strip off your clothes knowing you want a boiling hot shower. You step into the shower feeling the water go over your body as you slowly start to wake up. You look down at your legs seeing the bruises from the nights before a few of which are seeming yellow while most of them are clearly fresher. You start to wash taking care of your arms as you know it's gonna sting. You jump as you hear a knock at the bathroom door knowing someone's in your room.

Y/n: who's there

Nat: y/n it's me nat I thought what pepper left for you, you might not wanna wear it so I brought you some of my jeans and a T-shirt I'm just gonna leave them on the bed for you

Y/n: yeah thanks agent romanoff

You listen as you hear her leave the room and shut your bedroom door behind her. You start to slowly slide down the shower wall as you put your head in your hands. You sit there letting the water run over you as you bring your knees to your chest "god how can I be so stupid I know I have to go home and fast but this isn't gonna go well". You slowly start to stand up in pain still and more tired than usual as you normally sleep for six to seven hours. You get out of the shower grabbing the towel and wrapping it round you as you walk over to your bed. You quickly dry yourself off and look at the T-shirt noticing she left two one with long sleeves and one with short sleeves. You decide to put on the longer sleeved one and put on the pair of jeans you get your shoes on almost ready to leave. You start to brush your hair deciding to leave it down for the day as you finish you get up and leave the room shutting the door behind you. You start to rush downstairs phone in hand and go towards the door to leave as Tony spots you.

Tony: morning y/n do you want breakfast before you go home to collect your stuff also I was thinking I could get your room set up properly so you have your own safe space

Y/n: look tony I get that you think I'm gonna stay but I'm going home so you can either stay here or you can drop me off at home either way I'm going home

Tony and pepper exchanged looks at one another never saying a word but yet saying everything as they turn and look towards Nat who's stood off to the side.

Nat: don't worry tony I'll drop her off at home and make sure she safe before I leave her there

Y/n: come on then agent romanoff

you roll your eyes as you start to walk out the building knowing that nat isn't far behind you but you hear her walking quiet a few steps behind but think nothing of it. You get outside and lean against the car you both get into the car as soon as she unlocks it and start to drive to your apartment. You have a slight uneasy feeling as you know it's not gonna end well
you don't know that nat has got wanda to follow behind just in case anything
happens when you get in there. The drive over is pretty uneventful as you and nat barely speak to one another. nat pulls up outside your
apartment building as you get out of the car shutting the door as nat puts the window down you turn around hearing it and put your hand on the top of the car.

Y/n: thanks for the lift agent romanoff I'll see you again sometime ok beautiful

You turn around with a smile on your face as you start to walk into the building "god why did I call her that why can't I control myself around her like I can with everyone else". Nat smiles as she watches you walk into the building Wanda pulls up behind her and parks as they just sit there waiting to see if you need any help Wanda reading your mind just in case. You take one last look at Nat as the building doors shut on you and start walking to your apartment.

You walk into your apartment and put your keys down in the bowl picking up the letters that's been left next to the bowl. You don't see him but he sees you and comes over you flinch as soon as he raises his hand to touch you as you slowly start to feel sick knowing you felt more safe with Nat.

Toby: where the hell have you been what where you thinking staying out all night you know that your not allowed

Y/n: I was at my father's you know Tony stark the reason we can afford this place in the first place

Toby: oh really because I know you were just dropped off by some woman so tell me who is she

Y/n: she's nobody she's absolutely nobody

Toby: don't you dare lie to me who the fuck is she I won't ask again

Y/n: and I've already told you she's nobody your the one that cheated remember

He goes to punch you and you dodge the hit as he grips you by your neck pinning you to the wall. He starts to punch you in the lower abdomen working his way up using you to take his anger out on. You keep trying to fight him off but he over powers you dropping you to the floor as he starts to kick you in the stomach over and over again. You hold your hands to your face as tears begin to flow as the pain gets too much for you he delivers one final blow to your head. You nose starts to bleed as you begin to black out trying to fight it as you hear the door open. You see someone step around you as you cough up some blood and finally black out.
