chapter 8: Pioneer Day

This is a couple of days after the last chapter

Pacificas pov

I woke up to the noise of my dad telling mom and me to get dressed for Pioneer day...yay

After I got dressed I went downstairs to see my parents looking smug

"Pacifica daughter are you ready to give a speech at this year's Pioneer parade?" My father said

"Sure" I Said lazily

Then I got a text from dipper

Sir dipping sauce: Good Morning Beautiful

Princess Paz: morning handsome

Sir dipping sauce: got any plans?

Princess Paz: it's Pioneer day my day has been planned all year by my dad

Sir dipping sauce: I'll be around town for your speech and hey call if you need me okay?

Princess Paz: u got it

*A few hours later*

Im super bored at this dumb thing I have to give a speech soon hope I don't mess it up

"And now Pacifica Northwest"

I walked up  to the pedestal and started my speech

"Hello people of Gravity Falls let's try and have an amazing Pioneer day by continuing our tradition of having everyone come and introduce themselves!" Of course the first one was Mabel  I smiled and waited for her to finish

"What's up Gravity Falls! Me and my bestie Paz are gonna make sure you guys have the best Pioneer day Ever!"

I wrapped my arm around Mabel and said "You can count on that!" Insead of cheers there were murmurs

And a man said "why the hell are the Northwests still hosting this thing they only think of themselves and are broke now!"

"Yeah and the entire family is an embarrassment!"

As I heard this I couldn't  help but tear up I was gonna run when I felt a hand grab me I looked over to see a pissed looking Dipper

"HEY SHUT UP! SURE THEY'RE NOT PERFECT BUT WHO IS! THE POINT IS THAT THEY ARE TRYING AND IF YOU CANT SEE THAT THEN GO AND FU-"he was interupted by a candle to the head  and SJ saying

"LANGUAGE!"

Then from the crowd people started murmuring again

"You know what why don't we turn Pioneer day Into Pines day?"

"They've done so much for us they deserve it"

"HEY! NO DONT DO THAT TRUST ME YOUR BETTER OF WITH THE NORTHWESTS!"

"Think about it Pines They've been acting strange for the last three years!"

"Preston's doing his best to get his family name back, precilla is being a good mother and wife for her family, and Pacifica is trying to live her life as normal as she can!" Dipper said

"You know I hear that precilla has had more surgery than the Kardashians"

Dipper froze for a moment and looked at me "You know all the weird things in Gravity Falls guess what! I'm one of them!" He said while showing his birthmark

And at that moment I stopped caring and kissed him infront of everyone

"Thank you but you don't have to I hate this thing" I whispered

"See now im not sure if I keep going or-" dipper was interupted by my dad pushing him aside

"What do you think your doing boy!"
