Chapter 6

ALETHEIA'S POV

Luckily for me Ronan had already made his way back to the ship as the thought of Nebula and Gamora fighting didn't interest or concern him in the slightest.

However I couldn't tell if Thanos was pissed at what I just did or amused, hopefully amused because I didn't really want him to kill me.

"Ah so you do care for my daughter after all"
Thanos stated.

"I wasn't just going to let her die"
I hissed.

"She will only disappoint you in the end"
Thanos muttered.

"She is no disappointment"
I growled, resisting the urge to strangle Thanos, actually I don't think I would be able to reach that high.

Thanos didn't respond and turned his attention to Gamora and Nebula.

"Make sure that boy gets me the stones"
Thanos demanded, referring to Ronan.

"I will not fail you father"
Nebula replied.

I decided to look through her emotions and wasn't surprised to see that on the inside she was angry at Thanos.

I knew beforehand that Gamora and Nebula was sent to spy on Ronan that much was obvious but now my thoughts had been confirmed.

Honestly if I had a choice, I wouldn't let either of them get hold of the stones.

"Aletheia where are you going?"
Gamora asked.

"Uh back to Ronan's ship obviously"
I replied, confused.

"We have a mission"
Nebula answered.

"Why's nobody inform me of these things?"
I said as I entered the ship we would be using for this mission.

I saw Kyle there who was a random person who also worked for Ronan but he was really useless in all honesty.

I'm surprised his still alive actually, his so clumsy but he can be sweet I guess but also annoying.

"Seriously he knew but I didn't"
I scoffed.

"I'm coming too"
Kyle stated.

"Yeah I figured. Don't die"
I warned.

"I won't. I'm stronger than you think"
Kyle replied but he didn't seem convinced himself.

"Right"
I deadpanned before turning my attention away from Kyle.

"How long is this mission for?"
I asked.

"A week"
Gamora replied.

I saw Nebula leave through a door which was on the ship, presumably another room.

"Ok Gammy also I'm annoyed at you"
I informed.

"I wanted to help her up"
Gamora replied.

"Yeah but you didn't, what if she died?"
I questioned.

"Why do you suddenly care?"
Gamora wondered, curiously.

"I don't"
I lied.

The truth was I cared about Nebula, I just didn't know in what way or why I cared about her.

"Also two people have to share a room as there is only two bedrooms on the ship"
Gamora explained.
