After our late night talk and small makeout session, Drew and I walked back into the house, and he walked me to my room.

Drew leaned against my door, and I raised an eyebrow while I leaned against it, too. He looked relaxed while he studied me, and I pressed my lips into a thin line because I grew a bit uncomfortable underneath his calculating gaze. "So," he said and raised an eyebrow.

"So?" I asked and raised mine higher.

"What now?" Drew asked and cocked his head while he studied me. He folded his arms across his chest and stared at me, still relaxed, but I could tell that he was a little nervous. "Are... we taking this slow or..?"

I shrugged and schooled my features until he wasn't able to read them, and he frowned, upset that I made sure that he couldn't read me. I had no idea what he wanted to do or even if he knew what he wanted.

Hell, I wasn't even sure what I wanted, for this was all new territory for me. I had never had someone like me like this; if that was what it was, or if someone did, then I hadn't noticed it before because they didn't make it obvious.

I knew that Drew wasn't drunk. I could tell it in his eyes and the way that he looked at me. I knew that he was aware of his surroundings and what he wanted, and I guess he wanted me.

"Chris?" he asked when I didn't say a word. He cocked his head and studied me while he waited for my response. He cleared his throat and shifted against the door until he was comfortable. "What do we do now?"

"Ask me tomorrow," I replied, making sure that my voice was cold to hide the nervousness that I felt. I had no idea if I would know what to do tomorrow, but I knew that we had to talk about this and see what could happen or what would happen to us.

Drew reached into his pocket and looked at his phone to see something that he didn't show me. A small mark appeared on his face, and he said, "hmph," amused.

I frowned and narrowed my eyes while I looked at him. "What?" I asked, my tone laced with warning.

He looked at me with that stupid smirk on his face, and I so badly wanted to smack it off, but I played nice and didn't, even though it was very hard not to. "It's midnight," he said and stuffed his phone back into his pocket while he stared at me. "It's tomorrow."

I scowled and narrowed my eyes at him while I folded my arms across my chest. "In the morning, when we get some sleep and process everything," I said, my voice cold. I wasn't sure what he wanted us to do, nor was I sure what I wanted us to do or be.

Drew's smirk deepened, and I rolled my eyes, and my scowl deepened. "You said to ask you tomorrow first," he pointed out, and I rolled my eyes again. He chuckled and moved closer to me, closing the space between us. "But..." He let his voice trail off while he looked at my lips.

I raised an eyebrow and cocked my head. My heart pounded hard in my chest, and it sometimes leaped into my throat because of the way he looked at me. "But..?" I asked, making sure that my voice didn't sound as breathless as I wanted it to sound.

"I will make an exception..." He leaned closer to me but didn't kiss me like I thought he would, and I had no idea what game he was playing with me.

I shifted a little, a part of my mind going on the defensive and pushing him away from me, but I kept that part at a small standstill. "And what is the exception?" I asked, and I couldn't help, but my voice became barely above a whisper.

He brushed his lips against mine but still didn't kiss me. He had a way of making me melt, and I hated how much I wanted him to kiss me because it meant that he was winning whatever this game was.

So, instead of letting him kiss me fully, I sighed and pushed him away, ignoring the longing in my heart, and he looked sullen and taken aback as if he hadn't expected me to push him away. "Answer me first, Cupcake," I said, making sure to keep firm and cold, even though all I wanted to do was kiss him. "What is the exception?"

"Kiss you," he said. "Let me kiss you, and then I'll let you go to bed."

I lifted my chin and stared him in the eyes, making sure to keep my emotions to myself. "And what if I don't want to be kissed by you?" I asked, even though I did want to be kissed by him.

Drew scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Do you always have to be like this?" he asked.

"Like what?" I asked, even though I had a slight feeling about what he wanted me not to do.

"Be so stand-offish," Drew replied. "Allow yourself to be human for once."

"I did, and let you kiss me on the front porch."

"But I want to kiss you now," Drew said. He didn't push himself on me and stared at me in the eyes, "so let me kiss you."

"And then what?" I asked and raised an eyebrow. "Offer you a place in my bed?"

Drew snorted and rolled his eyes while he scowled. "Don't be silly, Sweetcheeks," he said and gave me a pointed look, and I couldn't help but smirk. "I told you that I wanted to keep my buddy on me and to have it functional. I know what would happen if I did ask for a place in your bed when you aren't ready."

"And what would happen if I wasn't ready and you pushed me until I finally gave in and gave you a place in my bed?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

Drew gave me a deadpanned look, but I knew that he was going to humor me. "You cut off my dick," he said, and I smirked, feeling pleased that he knew. "So..?" He raised an eyebrow and moved closer to me again, and this time, I didn't push him away.

I slowly nodded and cleared my throat. "Kiss me," I said.

And with that, he did and placed a single kiss on my lips.
