With the disappearance of the only other human you knew of in this strange new world, you search your surroundings leading you to notice a rather large forest. Thinking that Kouji could be somewhere inside it, you head into it albeit cautiously since monsters were real.

"Tomoki! Junpei!" You hear a group of voices call out in the distance, in the opposite direction of where you were walking. Curious, you temporarily put off your man-hunt and go towards the voices; hoping that maybe they could help you with your own search.

"Oh! Hello there?" You greet a large group of oddly cute ghosts that surround you, stopping you from proceeding.

"It's another human! Hello human!" The group cheerfully exclaims. "We're Poyomon, it's nice to meet you, did you get separated from your group?"

"Uh... well kinda, I'm looking for somebody. He's about yay high," You extend your hand five or so inches above you. "and very blue. Have you seen anyone like that?"

The Poyomon all collectively nod. "The other two we just saw are searching for the same person!"

You doubted Kouji had anyone other than you bothering to look for him so you assumed it must be one of the people whose names were being yelled. "Really?"

"Ahuh, it was a boy and a girl. They were looking for two other humans. They should be somewhere over there by now." The Poyomon motion to the area near where you came from

"Two? Oh... thank you." You take a step over a Poyomon in front of you.

"Aren't you going to go after them?"

You shake your head. "The person I'm after is probably alone right now and well he could be in trouble or something so my top priority is to find him. I don't really have time to meet and befriend strangers just yet."

"Okay! Good luck!" The Poyomon cheer before leaving you alone.

Continuing through the forest you spot a strange wall with a wide hole that was a few feet away from your line of sight, spotting a dark blue form disappearing down it, you run after it, "Mina-san! Oi! I know you can hear me, wait up!" you call out, going down the stairs at the entrance of the wall after him.

He stops, turning around to glare at your panting form. "Go away and don't shorten my name!"

"Don't be like that... Mina. We should stick together." You protest, purposely emphasizing the name Mina since he didn't deserve your respect after what he pulled.

"It's not my job to babysit you."

"Babysit?" You repeat in confusion. I'm not a little kid. Besides, I doubt anyone would leave one with a guy like you.

"Yeah, I don't want to be stuck with some little kid who constantly needs to be saved. Go bother someone else." Kouji harshly says, turning back around to continue down the stairs.

You force a smile onto your face before you follow after him. You needed to form a party with at least one person and the prickly loner was the easiest option since he clearly likes to push everyone away. "Why would I find someone else when I've already got you? Just being together increases the odds of our survival, think of it like this, we're both useful to each other in some way!"

He sighs, stepping down the stairs slightly faster.

Having Kouji somewhat by your side again you pause for a moment, distracted by the sight of small beams of light coming from the surface; the dim light shone down onto the stairs and metallic structures further down.

Kouji stops to pull away the loose metal bars blocking the way forward. "If you're going to follow me like some kind of lost puppy, hurry up."

"Sorry!" You apologize, quickly rejoining him on a path that led to a large circular area surrounded by slope-like walls with similar dead-end tunnels like the one you were standing in, scattered on them. "Soo um--"
