Emine.
Yup, that's my name. I'm not sure if that's a very common name which many people have, but I like it. My mom is a fan of unusual names, so I think it's clear that it was her idea to give me that name.
Speaking of unusual,I think something happened to me yesterday, but I'm not sure what. I woke up with a really bad headache and a stomach- ache. I didn't really do anything except watch some TV shows, eating popcorn by myself while my mom was sleeping in her room and dad was working on something on his laptop.
It's a Monday, the worst day of the week! But I had to go to school today because I had a presentation to show. I didn't tell my parents about the stomach ache. But I did tell them about the headache I had and that's the reason I woke up late. Then,I just got some painkillers from the medicine cabinet, had breakfast and my dad drove me to school.
It's six in the evening now so I guess I have some time to spare before my home tutor appears with her frowned face on our doorstep.
I didn't think the stomach ache was something to worry about because I have them almost everyday for all the junk food I eat. But the headache was a bit concerning,I almost never get so bad headaches.
After I showed the presentation of Environmental Advantages in class, I went to my desk and sat down and others started showing their presentations one by one just like any other day. But something felt unusual. I mean,I was sitting beside my closet friend in school:Chloe as usual and the classroom was still the most boring place on the earth but it felt different. The room was darker than it usually is but maybe that's just because it was foggy outside and cloudy.
The distance between my home and school are a bit less than ten minutes by car. I mostly ride my bicycle to school so it takes almost twenty minutes to reach there. Chloe lives nearer to our school so she just walks there. We meet up halfway to school and I ride and she walks at the same pace, talking about stuff only we find interesting until we're at the ultimate worst and boring destination EVER!
The same was going to happen this morning too but it didn't:Because of the terrible headache! When Chloe asked why she didn't see me on our way,I told her about the stomach and headache and how I can't understand why I had them in the first place and also about the unusual event I can't remember from yesterday.
She just laughed and said, "You eat way too much junk food! Hence, the stomach pain. There's absolutely nothing unusual about that. It is very much usual. And the headache? Eh, I don't know about that."
We laughed it off but I knew there definitely was something that I couldn't recall.
