Her breathing was still heavy and desperate. Isaac was doing some breathing exercises with her.

"Aiden, I don't know what you are talking about, but calm the fuck down. You are scaring her," Kayden said through his gritted teeth.

Aiden clenched his fists, he probably wanted to punch something or someone.

"I'm going to fucking murder him when I get my hands on him." Aiden's voice had toned down, but was still loud enough to scare Luna.

Kayden's features hardened when he saw her reaction.

"Out," he demanded Aiden. "Now."

I knew he didn't blame Aiden for reacting this way. All Kayden wanted was for Aiden release his anger elsewhere. Somewhere far away from his vulnerable sister who didn't react well on loud voices.

Ethan squeezed his twin's shoulder.

"Let's get you out of here," Ethan sighed and led him out of the room.

Cora stepped away from the door when she saw a furious Aiden heading her way. She knew it was best to stay out of his way until he cooled down again, we all knew that. The only one who could stay by his side was Ethan.

My eyes went back to the person who has become incredibly important in such a short time. Luna was now held by her eldest brother.

I was glad her panic attack was over. When I locked my eyes with hers, my heart shattered more. You could easily see the despair wander around in her ocean blue orbs.

The remaining brothers had a silent conversation with each other. None of them knew what had happened, and asking Luna wasn't an option.

Isaac's gaze focussed on me. I nodded toward the door to let him know I'm going to explain, but not in front of Luna.

The last thing I wanted was for her to have another breakdown.

Isaac started to pull away his arms from Luna, which caused her to grip his waist even more tightly.

"Don't leave me alone," she said with a cracked voice.

It pained me to see her like this. She didn't deserve this.

"I will keep her company," Cora suggested quietly and went over to Luna.

Isaac had to forcefully remove Luna's arms because she didn't want him to leave her. The capo in him surfaced, right now he had to make sure she was safe.

"I will be back in less than ten minutes, promise," he reassured her and kissed her temple.

I knew he didn't want to leave her, however he had to know what was going on.

We all went to the living room and left Luna with Cora for a few minutes.

"What happened," Isaac demanded.

"Don't we have to wait for the twins?" Cole asked.

"I think Aiden is too busy cutting off fingers from our visitors in the basement. I will fill them in once he has calmed down," Isaac answered.

Of course he is, I didn't expect anything else either.

I could feel their burning glares on me, waiting impatiently for me to explain what had happened. Concerns for their sister's safety lurked in the eyes of the remaining Romano brothers.

"Nick left a birthday present," I said bitterly. "He left your mother's medallion and a card on her bed."

They were all radiating anger, that hot burning rage that seeks to harm. The thing about rage is it stems from fear.
