FIRST DAY OF LESSONS

"Morning." yawned Leo as the two girls sat down.

"Goodmorning." Amara cheerfully replied, earning a slight chuckle from Regulus.

"I'm not a real snake!" Thomas complained as his cousin tried giving him one piece of bacon. Morgana rolled her eyes, "Eat the damn bacon, Marvolo."

"You're starving me!"

"Fine. Go back to my dorm and call for a house elf from the manor to get you some food. People aren't that dumb, Marvolo, they'll notice if I give you a full plate of breakfast."

"I'm not staying alone in that dorm!"

"Then eat the damn bacon." She hissed quietly and shoved a bacon in his face, making him huff. "Here's your schedule, miss Gaunt." Snape said and gave her the schedule.

Morgana thanked him and took it, comparing it to her girlfriend's, "Herbology's first." Amara pointed out as they all finished comparing their schedules.

"Good Morning everyone!" Professor Sprout exclaimed excitedly. The Slytherins stayed quiet while the Hufflepuffs replied, "Goodmorning Professor Sprout!"

"Welcome to greenhouse 3, Fifth years. Today we're going to re-plot mandrakes!"

"Just when you planned to open the chamber.." teased Thomas under Morgana's ear, making her shoot a glare at him.

Professor Sprout continued, "Who here can tell me the properties of mandrakes?"

Amara and a few other students raised their hands, though she was called on, "Madrake, or Mandagora, is used to return those who've been petrified to their original state. It's also quite dangerous. The mandrake's cry is fatal to anyone who hears it."

"Excellent! Ten points to Slytherin." Sprout beamed, "Now, as our mandrakes are still only seedlings, their cries won't kill you yet. But they could knock you out for several hours, which is why I have given each of you a pair of earmuffs for auditory protection. So please put them on, right away."

Leo grimaced at his Pink earmuffs, "Would someone change with me?" He asked desperately.

Regulus bit his lip to stop laughing, while Amara smiled softly and nodded, handing him the Black earmuffs as she put on the Pink ones, making Leo thank her.

"Now, watch me closely. You grasp your mandrake firmly-"

"That's what she said." Regulus mumbled to Leo, who snorted.

"- and pull it sharply out of the pot." Everyone held on to their earmuffs tightly when the mandrake started crying.

After Sprout was finished explaining, the students followed her lead. Everyone watched in horror and shock as Leo fell onto the floor, "Malfoy's been neglecting his earmuffs." Sprout announcing, looking at the fainted boy in pity.

"No, ma'am," Regulus said, trying very hard to hold in his laughter, "He's just fainted."

Morgana almost chuckled. Typical Leo. "Just leave him there. Now, everybody back to their own mandrakes!" The professor announced.

The students were now eating Lunch in the great hall.  "I'm actually going to be looking for the chamber again, soon. I deeply apologize." Morgana replied, not looking apologetic at all.

Regulus' face showed horror, "I have to study..alone?"

"I'll help, Reggie." Amara soothed, making him relax immediately.

"RONALD WEASLEY!" Caught everybody's attention as they all simultaneously looked at the Gryffindor table where Ron Weasley got a howler, "HOW DARE YOU STEAL THAT CAR! YOUR FATHER'S NOW FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK! AND IT IS ALL YOUR FAULT! IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE, WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT HOME! Oh, and Ginny dear, congrats on making it to Gryffindor. Your father and I are so proud.."

A few people started laughing at his embarrassing face while the others went back to their conversations.

"My head hurts." complained Leo, making his cousin burst out laughing as he remembered what happened.

Amara shook her head fondly as she pulled out a headache-relieving potion and handed it to Leo. Leo's eyes lightened up, "I fucking love you, Amara!" He exclaimed, making the other two laugh, while Morgana glared.

"Careful there, Malfoy."

"Sorry, My lady."

"Not a meeting!" Regulus exclaimed, but was ignored.

"Let me introduce your new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher," Lockhart started, grinning, "Me!"

"I would've been a much better teacher than this old fraud." hissed Thomas bitterly. Nobody could see him, since he was the same color as Morgana's school robes, so that was a relief.

"You were a great teacher over the Summer.." mused Morgana, thinking about all the dark magic he and Salazar had taught her that Summer.

Gilderoy Lockhart started talking about his achievements, although Morgana tuned it all out. She could just banish the teacher was a simple "As heiress of one of the Hogwarts houses, I banish Gilderoy Lockhart from the school", but didn't want to remind everyone that she was an heiress..
