[Speaker recognized as patient Hugo Griffin]
Um, hi, I'm Hugo, and I was born on August 12th, 2014. I have black hair and green eyes, and I'm 6.8". I'm not sure what to log in here but I'll get better at it eventually.
October 4, 2034 1:00 a.m.
My new therapist [Dr. Linda Ford] told me that this audio log will be a good way for me to let my emotions out, and talk about things I usually don't talk about with people. I guess I'll just start from the beginning. I was, uh, born in Orlando, Florida. Um, my mother died in childbirth. I've lived here in Orlando my entire life. It's really awkward because I celebrate my birthday the same day my mom died, and the same day my dad lost his mind so... yeah, really, really awkward. I wasn't raised by my dad. I was raised by his parents. My mom's side of the family still wishes I wasn't born; Gram and Pop were more forgiving. I have work in the morning so I'm going to go to bed.
October 5, 2034 9:00 p.m.
Hi again. Three days talking to you in a row, I'm surprised. I think I might actually be able to do this. Today sucked, like more than usual. My boss Jacob said if I come in late again, I'm fired. I was like so mad at him, I had to hold myself back from going at him. I mean, dude, I have nowhere else to go. I'm already broke as heck. I don't need you taking away any more of my money. Anyway, I'm going to go to a friend's party tonight so I'm going to go get ready. It's going to be so much fun!
October 7, 2034 11:35 p.m.
So...I was fired yesterday. I came to work drunk and, um, threw a drink at a regular. Ever since I was diagnosed with PTSD they treat me like a... This is stupid.
November 23, 2034 6:00 a.m.
It's been a while since I've spoken to... you? This feels so weird, I should give you a name. How about Alex, like the old Alexa. [He laughs]. I like that. Well, Alex, I'm sorry for calling you stupid. I was so angry. I guess It doesn't matter what I felt. I can't keep lashing out like that, especially when it comes to real people.
Well anyway, I saw an ad in my Gmail about some sort of mental test. Yeah, it seems cool. Um, it's something about... cognitive function. The email said that if I knew exactly what was going on, it would ruin the experiment. I don't know. It pays really well, I looked it up and it seems legit. I think I'll sign up for it. It lasts for about a week, it said.
November 24, 2034 5:46 p.m.
Yo, Alex, what's up? I am literally talking to a robot, okay. Well anyway, I emailed the test people back, and they responded right away and told me I was perfect for the job. They actually knew a lot about me. They said they had looked at my public medical records or something? It doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm going to get paid 1000 bucks per hour! I am NEVER coming back to this stupid job again! They asked me what day I could come over, and I was like, man, I can come over any day you like. So I'm flying over to Nevada tomorrow morning on a private plane. Oh and guess what, you're coming toooooo!
November 25, 2034 6:02 a.m.
Okay, so I'm on the jet, and boy it is fancy. There are suits everywhere. Pretty ladies are giving out drinks. I mean, this is life. I'm feelin' like a millionaire.
7:08 a.m.
Wow, it's so beautiful... There are miles and miles of desert. I have literally not seen a single house since we took off. I wish you could see it, Alex.
9:34 a.m.
Just got off. We landed in this private airport next to this huge facility. Just a hospital with white walls, and gigantic windows. It's bigger than any hospital I've ever seen.
[Speaker unknown] "Hey, watch out!"
Geez, why is everyone in such a rush? Weird. So, Alex, I'm going to keep you on for as long as I can while I'm here. Is that good with you? I think it said you can last three days without a charge, so I'll charge you every couple of days.
10:40 a.m.
I have been sitting in this waiting room forever. It's a really cool building. There are glass elevators, and science stuff, and also empty rooms. Why? I don't know. It's kinda weird, to be honest.
"NO, DON'T TRUST THEM. THEY'LL KILL YOU. [Undefined Screaming]"
"Wait, what is that guy talking about. Is he okay?"
[Speaker unknown] "Mister Griffin, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. That man is deeply disturbed."
"It's okay. I understand. Who is he anyway?"
"It doesn't matter. Would you mind putting these clothes on? Oh, and then put all personal items on the chair."
"Um, no, not at all." They are white jumpsuits, they kinda look like prisoner clothes. Alex, I'm, uh, going to sneak you in my pocket. I can talk to you freely now that there is no one around. At first, this place looked like a normal hospital, but now it's really starting to freak me out. Those rooms I was talking about, they were taking people in there, and locking the doors when they leave. It could just be where they keep people like that crazy guy, but I just have a weird feeling about it. I mean it's probably nothing, right? She's coming.
"Mister Griffin, may I come in?"
"Uh, yeah one sec. You can come in now."
"Good, these kind men will guide you to the testing room. They don't bite. Come on over."
"I need to go to the bathroom. Where would it be?"
"They can show you."
"If you tell me where I'll just go by myself."
"I'm afraid I can't let you do that."
"Why the heck not?"
"Come along now, Hugo. We don't want any trouble."
"No, I want to leave! Help me! Someone help! Alex, help me!"
"Who's Alex?"
[Sounds of physical struggle]
"Don't come any closer. Get away from m..."
"Search him for anything that might affect the experiment."
[Speaker unknown] "Yes, doctor."
1:18 p.m.
Uhhhhh... where am I? Alex, oh there you are. Thank goodness you're still here. Well, they must have given me some sort of medication. I feel a liiiittle dizzy, and I don't remember how I got into these clothes. Anywho, we're in a clean, white, spotless room. There is a bed, a dresser, and a little tiny bathroom. The shelf has food and water... this looks exactly like the rooms I saw when I first came in! Well isn't this fantastic! It must be a mistake. Look Alex, a camera.
"Hey, hellooooo... anybody there?"
It's fine. They'll realize that they've got the wrong man soon. Well, my good friend Alex, I feel a little silly, haha, so I'm going to go to bed. Nighty night.
November 26, 2034 6:01 a.m.
Ahhh, that light is so bright. Wait, I'm still here. You've got to be kidding me... Alex, we are still in the white room. I'm starting to think that this wasn't a mistake.
"Hey lab coats, mind telling me why I'm still in here?"
I knew something was off the moment I walked through those big glass doors. Heck, I knew something was off when I got the email. Alex, I don't know why they didn't take you away from me, but I think I'm going to need your help staying sane. If this is what I think it is, we're going to be here a while. I'm going to try to see how much food and water I have.
8:23 a.m.
I've counted and recounted all of our supplies and we have a week's worth of food and water. So... I am going to take an educated guess and say that we only have to survive 7 days in this room. Easy as cake.

I'm so bored!!!!! I don't know what time it is! I don't know what day it is! The light never shuts off! I'm tired of this, YOU HEAR ME! I can't take it. Please let me out. Please...
11:45 p.m.
Wow, I must have slept at least 10 hours. I haven't slept this much in ages. Maybe I should cry like that more often. Hey Alex, how you doing? I hope you're doing good. I'm not doing very well if you couldn't tell already. I'm going to build a fort I think. It will be fun. Maybe you could join me? I bet you haven't built a tent before. My gram used to build tents for me before she died. Well anyway, you take all the sheets off and put them on the floor, then you put one side on the bed and stretch the other side on the dresser. There we go! Wasn't that fun. I don't know how much longer I can take it in here. I didn't think it would be this hard to not go insane. It feels like I'm reading the same sentence in a book over and over. Well, I think I'll go to sleep in my new tent. Night, Alex. Don't let the bed-bugs bite.
November 28, 2034 1:18 p.m.
ALEX, WAKE UP!!! We have to get out of here! I heard a voice on the other side of the north wall!! Come on, help me knock the wall down.
"Medical Emergency, room 118."
"Get him up."
"Then what?"
"He's served his purpose. Just make sure you hide the body better than last time."
"Alex help m... They are trying to drag me down the hallway."
"NO, DON'T TRUST THEM. THEY'LL KILL YOU. DON'T GO THROUGH THE DOOR."
