"Bonjour." With a smile, Sara walked into the office. She placed her coffee cup on her desk and took her laptop out of her bag. After a couple of days spent in Belgium, she was back in Paris, right in time for final preparations for the business trip to London to have a few meetings with the English division of the brand and an interview with Emma Watson, which Sara was stoked about.

Little Women was about to come out, showcasing independent women in a time where it wasn't normal. Emma Watson being a feminist, made it all the better – though the debate was still ongoing whether the movie actually was feminist.

Besides that, they were going to go through the plans for other magazines up ahead.

"Bonjour, Sara." Camille, sitting at the desk across from Sara smiled, her perfect red lips accentuated the pearly white teeth she showed. "How was the family?"

"They were good. Managed to not run into any of my ex-family-in-law. It's been two months now and I haven't found a way to face them yet."

"You are going to have to see them at some time. They are your families friends." Sara sat down, taking one shoe off to put on a plaster. They had gone for a hike the morning before she left for Paris and she had at least five blisters. She should have left a pair of hiking shoes in Belgium. Or better said, she should have bought new ones when her old ones were through.

"Heels and blisters, not a good idea."

"That was what you said last time." Sara laughed.

"Touché." With a quick look at the clock, Sara put back on her shoe and stood up. "I'm going to grab another one of these and then I'll see you at the meeting." Sara took her cup and walked to the kitchen. "Richard." She smiled at the intern standing in the kitchen. "How are you?"

"Good, it's hard work, however." Sara chuckled.

"Welcome to the life of an employee at Vogue. I've been working here for just over a year. I've never worked harder in my life."

"I heard it ruined your marriage." Sara shook her head.

"Rumours, yes, I had a divorce, but that was because we didn't match after all. We were a habit, it was familiar, familiarity feels safe. Not that I would need to tell you." Sara rolled her eyes and got her coffee. "Either way, if you ever need something let me know, it can be a hard world." Sara was used to stress and pressure as all her life she had trained to become a professional athlete. It made her insecure and put her into moods quite often.

She had no idea how her friends had put up with her.

But that changed when she decided to quit, she had been suffering for long enough and decided to pursue a job she had always dreamed of. A job at Vogue. It had been pure luck that Elvira, now Daniel Ricciardo's wife was leaving an empty spot. And it had been even more luck for Sara that it had been decided she would get to fill it up. She had very little experience and had applied for the job as a bit of a joke. She wouldn't be asked for a job interview either way.

Oh, how things went differently.

A good year later, she was walking into Vogue Paris' meeting room to discuss certain matters at hand and was rounding up the preparations for a business trip to the London department.

"Ah, Sara, good to have you back with us." Sara sat down beside Camille and smiled at Olivier. "Now it's just a wait for-" Just as Olivier was about to tell who they were waiting for, Blair came walking in.
